Baidu ($9888 (-4.14%) ) is considering a collaboration with Tesla ($TSLA (-6.59%) ) in the field of robotaxis in China. This cooperation would be part of the Apollo Go initiative initiative of Baidu. Apollo Go is expected to become profitable next year as Baidu intensifies its efforts to reduce costs and increase orders. In the last quarter 2023, about 839k rides with the Apollo Go service were carried out, with around 45% of the orders in Wuhan were completely driverless.

Baidu plans to launch its 6th generation of robotaxis at a price of about 200k yuan which is less than half the price of its predecessor. Baidu expects that Apollo Go in Q4 2024 the break-even point and by 2025 becomes profitable.

$9888 in your portfolio? The share has only one way to go - down. Apollo Go is only a small part of the offering, which is why there seems to be little interest in the company from an investment fund perspective. In terms of turnover, it is also more of a "small" company in the tech sector.
