I don't find it uninteresting in principle. $7309 is one of the brands that has accompanied me as a biker since my youth. However, I have been running a savings plan on $8001 for some time now and this is currently sufficient for my exposure to Japan in addition to the share in the EM ETF.

@SteelAnacott Japan is not part of your EM ETF, as it is an industrialized country and not an emerging market😅🤷🏼‍♂️.

@All-in-or-nothing You are absolutely right. I must have had South Korea in mind. But I always ask myself why this high-tech country is still listed in the Emerging Markets Index and is therefore considered an emerging market? I'll have to look at the criteria again.

And I've already found the reason:

"However, the lack of an offshore foreign exchange market and a ban on short selling for all listed stocks until March 2025, among other factors, are obstacles. Therefore, South Korea is classified as an emerging market rather than a developed market due to market accessibility issues."
