Norwegian Air Shuttle welcomed a total of 2.030 million passengers on board its aircraft in September 2024, an increase of eleven percent compared to September last year.

Supply was increased by ten percent from 3.208 billion seat-kilometers to 3.541 billion seat-kilometers, while demand improved by twelve percent from 2.696 billion seat-kilometers to 3.017 billion seat-kilometers. The seat load factor reached 85.2% in September, 1.2 percentage points better than in September last year.

Calculated on a rolling basis over the last twelve months, the low-cost carrier from Norway welcomed 22.153 million passengers on board its aircraft; in the previous year, this benchmark was eight percent lower at 20.475 million passengers.

Announcements from the company today.

Norwegian will launch almost 30 new routes from the Nordic countries this fall, including to Hurghada, Agadir, Marrakesh and Dubai.

Agadir and Hurghada will depart from Oslo, direct flights to Dubai, Agadir and Hurghada will depart from Stockholm Arlanda and Hurghada, Marrakesh and Tenerife will depart from Gothenburg Landvetter. From Copenhagen, there will be premiere flights to Dubai, Cairo, Hurghada, Agadir and Lanzarote, while there will be direct flights from Helsinki Vantaa to Agadir, Hurghada and Marrakesh, according to the press release.

Norwegian is also launching several routes within the Nordic countries and Europe, including the first flights from Tromsø to Stockholm, Manchester and Brussels.
