Bit OftTopic, but you actually want to scream for the sake of pension

"Heil has already secured the approval of Finance Minister Christian Lindner, but Vice Chancellor and Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck opposes the planned reform. "The Greens are suspicious of supporting the pension fund via the capital market, which is why they are pushing Habeck to block it," parliamentary circles said. "The net returns of the equity fund are foreseeably so low that it would take decades before a significant contribution rate effect can come from it. "

Well, if we are completely honest, you are fundamentally right. It will not be a sufficient contribution for the pension. However, not because of the market but simply because the capital is laughably too small. We would have to multiply the amount to have a serious effect.

@Lukas1000 However, the basic mood of rejection does not stem from this realization, but from ignorance and superstitious aversion to the capital market. Therefore, a first step toward raising awareness would be the right one. It is true that this is effectively pointless. Given the German mentality, Lindner's penetration strategy would be effective.

I find really ingenious how the Greens again block everything (out of ignorance), which would allow even rudimentary our children a bit of prosperity. That prosperity, which the old-68er have grabbed with both hands, now sitting in their paid-off family homes want to dictate to the new generation, how the pension is to be invested. The pension that they have condemned to failure through decades of mismanagement and ignorance. I really have 0 understanding for this party and its supporters.

It is simply to cry, came from this sect actually once a smart proposal? What is the alternative idea of the Greens? The rich (so all from average salary) higher tax and thus continue to redistribution operate? More can the Greens unfortunately not and the FDP makes every garbage with, to keep themselves yes 2 years in power before they fly out of parliament after the next election.

I know a couple who are members of the Green Party, and they are also active in local politics. "Do you have shares?" the woman once asked me, I said: "Yes, of course, I'm making provisions for my old age. "Do you have shares ?" I asked back, the man (chief physician): "NO!". After that follows a prompt change of subject 😅 In numerous nice conversations I found out that these people are very wealthy and educated, but unfortunately also somewhat unworldly, they live in a kind of bubble.
