$PLTR (+0.69%)

Evening everyone.

My Palantir position is currently up a good 700% and has also become my largest position in the portfolio. I have now considered taking the money invested out again and letting the rest run on, as I am still very convinced of Palantir. At the same time, such a high profit makes me a little nervous.

I would be interested to know how you deal with such high price gains.

Feel free to share your opinion (also specifically on $PLTR (+0.69%) )

With this amount of profit, it is more than legitimate to take the stake out. Remember to add the tax so that the basic investment ends up net in the account. And you can let the profits run down to a stop limit in a completely relaxed manner. The weighting in the portfolio will then also fit again 😉

I have the same thought at the moment. I think I'll take my stake out at $69.

I don't have such an extreme case, but I am facing similar considerations with a 200% gain with $BMPS. I have decided to let it run for the time being because the position has not yet become too large in relation to my overall portfolio. Maybe that thought will help you. So if Palantir now accounts for 30% of your portfolio, I would be more nervous than if it were 8-9%.

Do not let it run at all and continue to maximize profits

work with stop-loss, if you don’t really need the money

I took my stake out in 2 tranches and am still up over 400%. My good conscience was stronger. 😅In principle, I'm more in favor of letting profits run and investing for the long term, but I think the stock is overbought and I was worried that something similar to NVIDIA could happen. Palantir is currently getting a boost from all the positive news and is benefiting from the outcome of the US elections.
In my view, the euphoria will be dampened by the economic parameters in the USA in the coming weeks/months.

I think that's the sensible decision. I would have vetoed a complete sale :D I'm currently up 530% on Palantir, but I'm not selling anything. I'm leaving the position untouched. Can be good or bad ;)
