Does anyone have an idea what is going on with $ST5 (-1.61%) is going on? Actually a sustainable market, quarterly figures ok and is passed through like nothing else. Does anyone have any info?

Steico produces building products, doesn't it? I think that less is being built at the moment and that the prospects for 2024 are not particularly good.

Inflation, increased financing costs and tougher competition are weighing on demand in almost all sales markets. Germany, the STEICO Group's main market, is particularly affected, with sales down 29.1% in the first nine months. In addition to the weak level of new construction, the continuing uncertainty regarding the political framework here has led to noticeable postponement effects in refurbishment activity. Towards the end of the third quarter, however, the revival in demand increasingly gained momentum. Outlook: The majority of companies in the wood construction sector still have a backlog of orders until 2024, which is having a stabilizing effect. At the same time, management continues to expect a significant shift in activity to the refurbishment sector, so the stabilization is likely to continue in the fourth quarter. For the year as a whole, management expects a year-on-year drop in sales of -15% to -17%. The EBIT margin is still expected to be in a range between 8% and 10% (in relation to total output).

Construction has become more expensive / inflation, therefore growth dampener, negative free cash flow, therefore possibly risk that the dividend will be cut - now what jumped into my eye in 5min.

I haven't looked at it. But wasn't there news today that more new construction projects were canceled again?

Construction industry is declining. Only today read that 54% of all construction companies suffer from lack of orders. Construction applications are this month 26% down and last month was already 21% down. 2024 it will not be better quite the opposite. One assumes that every second Projektierer in the construction sector 2024 disappears from the market. Reason as already mentioned above the interest rates and the increased prices for the material and the current policy.

Aren't there also discussions to relax building regulations regarding ecological building materials? If no one has to take them anymore, it will probably look bad for this company.🤷

Just see that I had held the company from Feb to June 2021 also times, then with SL out. Bad timing but good from today's point of view 🤪 Maybe times on the watchlist and get back in with better macro situation, you're right with the long-term outlook!

Will probably go to your average value 20 Eur. Was a hype that is now over

Construction is heavily penalized, but if they don't go bankrupt and as soon as the construction sector rises again, Steico will also rise again, so for me a definite buy. Perhaps wait a little longer and then slowly buy in batches.
