@TechNav Yes, Apple, Nintendo and Microsoft have all made a real killing, all of them well over 100% Apple even over 1000% Nintendo a little under 1000%. In the case of Volkswagen, I more than doubled my investment at the time thanks to the dividend plus share price gains.

@Hotte1909 I always find that exciting too. I found a few old statements from the past. My Allianz shares paid out €1.36 per share in 2001 (conversion rate, it was called DM as well as Euro). Now it's €13.80, which is easily a factor of 10. Compound interest only really starts to be fun after 2 decades.
