2013-2018: Hildesheim - 510€ warm for 70m2 (very nice location, but was too expensive for me), 2 people.
2018-2020: 370€ warm for 42m2 in Wuppertal, alone.
2020 - 2023: Bonn, 62 m2, 380€ cold / 600€ warm, 2 people.
2024 ongoing: Saarland, 196m2, 2 people, 1,100€ cold, 1240€ warm.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the rents for the first apartments.

I think one thing above all else about expensive cities: distance 😄
I cut my salary by 50% from day 1 after graduating (savings rate). Some places are naturally rather unfavorable 🫠
