Future-oriented business. The digitization of healthcare, for which the Union wants to put 500 million euros in hand... One company that could profit from the modernization of the medical sector is Compugroup Medical. The Koblenz-based company is digitizing the healthcare sector and equipping doctors' offices, hospitals, care facilities, pharmacies, payers and others with software and information systems. The products are designed to help customers better overcome bureaucratic hurdles and make their processes more time-saving and efficient. A core element of the portfolio is the electronic patient file (ePA). It digitally collates patient data stored at various locations, such as findings, diagnoses or therapeutic measures. Compugroup not only networks, but also transfers and stores the sensitive data on German servers and offers additional digital modules for the ePA (digital video consultation, programs for staff deployment and invoice management). The ePA is central to the medical care of the future and is likely to form the technological basis of the CDU's "Digital Health 2030" project.

I can only endorse this article. It is well presented. I myself am involved in the development of ePA at a health insurance company. The position is very well established due to legal requirements... There is hardly any well-known competition in this field. Also very interesting in the context of the ePA are Atos (provision of the signature service for registering the ePA for all health insurance companies) and IBM, which provides the central technological basis for all individual ePAs. Networking in the healthcare sector is currently also affecting Google and Apple, and in the future it will also affect Nike, Adidas and the like.
