Good morning everyone,

I hope you've already had your coffee, because I need your help - preferably without laughing! I've never ventured into certificates and the like before, but now I'd like to open a short on Super Micro Computer. $SMCI (-0.11%)

My broker is Trade Republic, and to be honest, I have no idea what exactly I need to pay attention to. Can you guys help a newbie out? Which certificates are attractive here, and what pitfalls should I avoid at all costs?

Thank you in advance and be gracious!

By the time you've read up on it, the train has already passed.

$SMCI has already fallen 31% in the last 3 days. I would tend to think that an entry to short is over here. What are you leaning towards in terms of price performance and why are you going short now?

to make it sound soft. Leave it!

Make yourself another coffee ☕️ and think about something else. The fat short profits are already through and the risk is too great for what could still happen

The forum agrees on that. I could offer you another short on my portfolio 😉

Well, I can only advise you against it from my own painful experience. The best thing I ever achieved with shorts was to jump out before I slipped back into the loss zone. Otherwise I always fell flat on my face.

The thing is through
Take your time to read up on the subject and then go into Q-numbers with a small ticket. Then you'll quickly realize how annoying it is and leave it alone :D

I would strongly advise against speculating with certificates for the current situation. You are not the only one who thinks it is so easy to take some money with you on the way down from Super Micro. The volatility is always priced into the certificates and you will probably be far too late anyway.
