Fund managers often do not invest in their own funds.

Something that sounds banal is new to me.

Until now, I thought that it was actually common for fund managers to be invested themselves in order to have a higher interest in good performance.

What is also new to me is that there is a disclosure requirement for this kind of thing in the US.

As a client, I like the idea of being able to see if the fund managers are invested themselves and with how much capital!

Especially because it would naturally inspire a lot of confidence in me as a customer.

Absolutely agree with you. A disclosure obligation for fund managers would be ideal. Unfortunately, most of these managers have less idea than many others who have already dealt with the issues or have been invested for years. 💯

This gives the saying: "Spread your personal risk" a whole new background. 😂 But isn't this disclosure requirement pretty common by now, even away from the investment industry? In the first respect, that you are not allowed to participate in the direct competition?!

Also used to only buy shares in companies whose products I don't use 👍

A monkey does not pee next to its food. In this sense... Fund managers are just smarter than their investors. Or monkeys.

Really scary... It's different with private equity, where it's more or less mandatory for fundraising that the team contributes 1-2% of the fund volume, otherwise no investor would invest. Actually, all the bank advisors who talk their clients into all kinds of products should also disclose their portfolio.

It is no different with insurance agents... many have not taken out the praised insurance policies.
