As a child, I saw a movie with a stock exchange (I don't know which one) and was fascinated by it ever since. What was my intention? Well, what was it? "We're here to make money!" - Donnie Azoff in The Wolf of Wall Street

@California_Dreamin Ne that was long before there was the movie 😂

@LexInvest Hm, in terms of earlier films with a stock market or listed companies theme, I can spontaneously think of "Wall Street", "the soldiers of fortune" and "other people's money". Maybe one of those?

@CashDividendGamer That is quite possible. But I really don't know anymore. It must have been 15 years ago. :D

@CashDividendGamer How did you get into investing?
profile image
@Aktienfoxx A friend showed me how he invests in the stock market through Neo-Broker. That convinced me and I also signed up. Then made the first hesitant experiences including mistakes until after a few months I learned the ropes and worked out a strategy that suits me. It is a nice hobby in the meantime.

By 2 work colleagues as they have talked about employee shares and have talked about dividends was quite funny.

@Moneymoney Greed for money, always leads to the stock market .)

@Aktienfoxx my career. Clueless on the stock market at 17 years. Then between 20 - 30 years poker player (I think a good but without discipline) , then between 30 - 37 years sports betting (even there I was actually quite good - but very poor money management- therefore also lost) ...then my son came into the world - this changes everything. Since then solid investor. 3 small properties (after about 80 viewings - so really put a lot of work into it) , solid ETF portfolio (according to Kommer/Beck) , physical gold / silver , a few individual stocks , since a few weeks also relatively many bonds and a bit of crypto . ...sure sometimes you think where you would stand if you had been so solid at 20 years (probably multiple millionaire) ...but it was also ne cool time with lots of alcohol and other nice things 💃😀- you have lived. As a small punishment for my wild times I do not allow myself so much today. Instead of a fat car, we drive a CLA and a Clio - the focus just changes - and I'm still happy and a very proud dad

always wanted to make money out of money and had naively started with sports betting. since i had no idea, i switched to cfd trading via "bux" and thought i could make infinite money out of 50€. completely missing the reality, i was happy to have survived this test with +/- 0€. after that then serious via etfs via real bank without claim to infinite money. lol.

@NiMe Thanks for your interesting, insight when did you start?
profile image
@Aktienfoxx with the cfds ca. 2016. "right" then 12/2018.

Have a few months ago intensively dealt with my finances, also in view of my me expected salary with increases. Looked a bit grim.^^ Believe I've been watching Finfluencer on YouTube like "stocks with head" and "financial flow". Pulled the ripcord then and budgeted all the exits to put the maximum of possible "unbenenited" money into stocks. Might add things like P2P lending or crowdfunding. Buy and hold is already very defensive by my standards, but the thought of having to collect bottles with retirement still looming sets leisure. 😁

Wanted to own my employer.... Or more beautifully said, wanted to make a conscious statement, and create for myself an environment in which I can say with a clear conscience that I work in "my" Bude.... Found the thought somehow funny.... So for 30 € fees 2 shares bought and then for the 30 cents dividend every year 40 € Depotführunhsgebühren paid.... After 6 years came the diesel scandal... I had the feeling VW can not go down, so I decided then to buy a few VW shares... Then the first time with shares "profit" made and licked blood

In 2008 after the crash I had 10k saved and left over and gave my car away because I got one for work. Suddenly I had so much money left over at the end of the month...

Since I didn't know what to do with the money, I went to the bank. They talked about funds, etc., which seemed a bit too pretentious to me. Their custody account costs were also cheeky. So soon after the crash, I simply didn't believe a word they said.

So I did my own research, invested and collected dividends.
A lot of reading, learning and understanding, then do-it-yourself.

Correction:
That was December 2009. Just checked the first purchase again.

Quite clearly: old-age provision.

For me, it was when the banks started charging negative interest above a certain amount. I then got to grips with the whole issue and tried out various strategies.
Now I have my 1 million to 60 plan and I hope it works out.
