My recommendation: Look in Switzerland, you seem to be from BW. The job situation there is currently much more relaxed. What's more, you're not tied down and could even move to Switzerland. More pay, less tax, tax-free stock market gains, around €200 in healthcare - need I say more?

@AlexG82 What is it like to live in Switzerland? I am interested in emigrating, but am concerned about the high cost of living. I would like to finish my medical studies in Germany and then emigrate immediately, or complete my medical studies directly in Switzerland

@Ph1l1pp Basically, you can say that Switzerland is way ahead in terms of quality of life. My wife also works in the medical field (surgery/nursing) and earns about twice as much as she does in Germany. Of course, the cost of living is higher than in Germany. That's why it's particularly interesting to live near the border (Schaffhausen, Kreuzlingen, etc.), as you can then benefit from the higher salary, lower tax burden and German prices for everyday needs. Added to this is the VAT refund. If you live in Zurich, where an apartment costs between CHF 3-5k a month to rent, the financial advantages are of course put into perspective.

@AlexG82 I would like to make one more comment. My brother lives in Singen and works in Switzerland near Zurich. He says that in Schaffhausen and Kreuzlingen, or generally near the border, wages are now slightly higher than in Germany because there are a lot of Germans there. Employers are simply adapting. If a Swiss person roughly wants at least 6k, a German near the border goes to work for 5k. Because he still has more than in Germany. You can add one and one together, which is cheaper for the company

@ScorpionfromBW absolutely right and again, it depends on the sector. Nursing is simply shamefully poorly remunerated in Germany. Hence the doubling. Not possible in my sector either. The decisive difference is the move to Switzerland and the significantly lower tax burden.
