@Staatsmann wanted me to do some research on how Jeremy Fragrance invests and of course I don't have to be told twice!
Who do you not know? Jeremy Fragrance has made a name for itself in recent years in the perfume industry. Whether good or bad, it remains to be seen. Jeremy Fragrance is of course not his real name, but his stage name. Jeremy Fragrance's real name is actually Daniel Schütz.
I found an interview online from Der Aktionär TV in which Jeremy Fragrance explains how he invests his money. His estimated net worth is 1.3 million euros. When the interviewer confronts him with this, he laughs and says it's even bigger than that. But of course I would not have expected any other answer from him haha
First of all: I was surprised by his investment strategy, because it's not as bad as I thought!
According to Jeremy Fragrance, investing for him is simple and like playing Monopoly. Instead of luxury items like a gold Rolex, a red Ferrari, clothes, or material things in general, he invests his money in just three things: food, stocks, and real estate. He even calls grocery shopping a game, since he only buys food on sale at discount stores. Going out to eat in restaurants - he doesn't do that anymore.
His investment strategy for him privately, but also for the companies where he is the CEO, is as follows: 10% of every income is transferred to a magnetic account. He then invests this money monthly to a large extent in the $CSPX (+0.66%) and the $IWDA (+0.51%). So he has a classic savings plan for the two ETFs. He also invests in 10 stocks that he personally finds "awesome", including. $RACE (-0.33%), $MBG (-1.01%), $ANF (+0.3%), $MCD (+0.31%), $DIS (+0.13%), $AMZN (+0.76%) and $GOOGL (+0.83%). In $META (+0.46%) however, he is not invested. During the interview, he emphasizes several times that he invests larger amounts of money precisely in times when companies are doing badly. Classic "buy the dip" principle. He determines the sum according to his gut feeling.
According to Jeremy Fragrance, he is also invested in gold to a small extent and has even already sold a kilo of gold to buy more shares. He tends to focus on stocks and ETFs rather than commodities like gold.
A gimmick of his are his 2 currency accounts for the Polish currency Złoty, as both of his parents are from Poland and for the US Dollar. When the Złoty/Dollar is doing poorly against the Euro, he buys the respective foreign currency on these currency accounts. He then uses the money to buy real estate, for example, an apartment in Krakow.
Jeremy Fragrance has several sources of income:
- Income from Jeremy Fragrance GmbH (his social media agency) through which he offers his services. He spoilers a supposed deal with Google where he got $25,000 to smell a remote control.
- Revenue from Fragrance One GmbH, through which beauty, perfume and deco products are sold.
- Passive income such as rental income from real estate from Poland and the USA and dividends.
I also took a look at Northdata. There is also mentioned DS Holding GmbH, which has control over the two above mentioned GmbHs. The two GmbHs have a profit transfer agreement with DS Holding GmbH. His wife Jolanta Theresa Schütz also benefits from his business, as she is listed as another managing director of Jeremy Fragrance GmbH. DS Holding made a profit of €904,104 in 2020 and €925,357 in 2021. So it is estimated that his fortune could really be €1.3 million.
What do you think of Jeremy Fragrance's investment strategy? Do you have any further information about possible investments? Then feel free to share them in the comments!
I hope you enjoyed the article 🥰
