I'm not a fan of the dividend strategy at all. You give away returns through poorer performance and taxes. If you have assets, you are welcome to use DIV ETFs, but they are rather unsuitable for accumulation 🫡⛔️

@Besteaktien but then the assets must generally come from other sources of income, such as real estate. It makes no sense to switch from accumulation to distribution.

@Besteaktien Mhh, but why should I miss out on an annual €1000 tax-free distribution? I think it makes sense to add distributing securities even in the build-up phase in order to take advantage of the tax benefit. Unless, of course, you use it to reallocate your growth stocks. That certainly depends on personal preference. That's why I'm not a fan of completely taking sides. As always, "it depends"...

@geldgarten You can also simply Sell shares worth €1000. The result is the same without often having to pay withholding tax.
@Besteaktien then have fun selling in the bear market if you want to cash out😂👍🏻
@Aktienmasseur The "simple" part is often more difficult than you might think. After all, shares are sold according to the FIFO principle and anyone who has not documented exactly which shares were bought at what price will find it difficult to catch the exact €1000 return.

Therefore, my favorite is to buy dividend ETFs until they exhaust my allowance and then invest exclusively in accumulators.

@cashflowtogo Dividends also come in a bear market;) Whether I receive a dividend of €3 at a share price of €100 and am at €97 or sell shares worth €3 really has little to do with the market. In terms of financial mathematics, there is no difference.

Or do you believe that dividends simply appear out of nowhere, detached from all the key figures of a company or ETF?

@Besteaktien Sweeping statements never really lead to the goal. Take a look at the performance of $FUSD or $GGRP...I personally would not save / invest in the Div ETFs listed here.
