I chose Munich Re because I had an endowment/life insurance policy there for about 15 years and actively paid into it myself every month. 3-4 years ago I took a closer look at it and when I had calculated everything, the return on the entire capital with deduction of insurance costs was 2.12% on average per year. After the termination last year I thought to myself now I just buy shares of the company and collect 5% dividend every year 💁‍♂️

Current market situation I would not take any dividend payout annually make Grade not much fun. But Allianz is always a good choice.

Funnily enough, I have taken a closer look at the three companies over the last few days and have to say that I like Hannover Re one of the best, that they are better positioned in terms of debt and equity than their competitors and I see more upside potential there.

Allianz is more broadly based and therefore appeals to a wider clientele, MüRe is more focused and performs slightly better. The broader spread of Allianz has the disadvantage that here more frequent payments are made to customers in the event of claims. Personally, MüRe is too expensive for me just because of a few cents more in dividends.
