The race has begun - the question of who will end up investing hundreds of billions in Ukraine, China or the USA. The advantage if it is China is that the EU does not have to pay for it. The disadvantage if Ukraine is really accepted into the EU is that China will once again have its fingers on the raw materials and another foot in the market.

@Reinecke For this reason alone, I am more in favor of the EU. It is an investment in a direct neighbor of the EU. Reconstruction after the Second World War was not a sure-fire success either (even if I'm not so fit here). And I am happier if the Ukrainians also feel more connected to the EU than to China.
