The German soccer federation has hired Deutsche Bank $DBK (-1.71%) to lead the potential sale of a package of media rights, Bloomberg reports. One option being discussed is the sale of a stake in a new subsidiary that would house domestic and international broadcast rights, Bloomberg News reported in June. DFL is considering selling up to 20% of the unit, which could be valued at about 18 billion euros ($18 billion).

1st Adidas kicks out CEO.

The CEO of sporting goods manufacturer Adidas, Kasper Rorsted, is stepping down from his post. He and the supervisory board have decided "by mutual agreement" that Rorsted will retire in 2023, according to an Adidas press release. Rorsted will remain in office until his successor is appointed, while the search is underway. Major investors are said to have lost patience with Rorsted, according to Manager Magazin. Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, a holding company that controls 7.1% of Adidas, is reportedly one of them. His "gruff management style," the magazine said, had angered numerous Adidas superiors.

2. Eurowings increases number of business trips:

Following the corona pandemic, demand for business travel has risen significantly again. The Lufthansa subsidiary is responding with a 30 percent increase in flights from September. Punctuality and reliability are also said to have improved significantly, according to Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof; the reliability rate for Eurowings flights is said to be around 99% again. Despite the announcement, Lufthansa shares are sliding 2.55% today.

Tesla's 3:1 stock split will be official this week. Tesla stock will be split on Wednesday after the market closes and will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis at the market open on Thursday. The split is the second split in just two years and comes after a majority of stakeholders voted in favor.
