If you want to end up far ahead, you need a lot of risk. Either in a random small cap of your choice, a leveraged ETF... that way you'll probably be far ahead or behind. But "top 30%" with long-term investments is not rewarded in this game.
@KevinE does not work in my opinion. You can only invest in certain shares and there is a maximum amount per share. Leveraged products and options do not work at all.
