Tip: Documentary about the finances of the German population.

"People do talk about money!"

I find the series very entertaining. People reveal their finances and what they spend their money on. In the rarest cases, someone invests something, many just get by.

A good reminder that we are doing really well here - not because we necessarily have more money, but because most people here can prioritize better. #finanzbildung

Am just still undecided what to make of it. A part-time jobber, a (unnecessarily) large TV box. All the children are fully equipped with the latest smartphones and game consoles, and the box filled with tobacco can't be missing either. Criticism of unnecessary consumption is allowed if I can't afford it anyway? But I appreciate the fact that they are putting a lot of personal effort aside for the sake of their children, and that they are working after all. Society is definitely struggling with the question of whether work in general is still worthwhile in Germany compared to the citizen's income.

I also find the documentary series very interesting. I have already seen a few. The difference between middle and upper class is very interesting. (I haven't looked at citizens' money recipients yet.) How each class deals with money. In the middle class, you often hear "I have now treated myself", but felt every other day treat yourself to what 😂 and then the wonder at the end of the month that they are in the minus. There was a family that 75,000 € consumption credit must pay off, 800 € a month. Or a family with 8000€ net in the month. Very interesting some dokus. Highly recommended.
