To the finance girls 🐰here: how is it with you and your girlfriends? Do you talk about your finances? Are your friends similarly active? If not: do you try to convince them to approach the topic of the stock market a bit? In my environment I'm kind of the only one, but I don't want to "persuade" anyone, but I still think it's a shame. Who else do you exchange information with?

Nope, exchange about finances generally little, with girlfriends not at all. That's why I'm here with my spam 😅 I can not convince anyone, I just hope that jmd is curious and asks me about it 🤓

I talk openly about finances as I would about any other topic. In my circle of friends there are many women, but they mostly invest in ETFs. They don't dare to invest in individual stocks or crypto, I don't know why. Men are much more open about it. But actually it's like that with most women: Finance = men's business, which I find completely stupid 😁

@Phairytale everyone has his own strategy 💫

@AlexiSchulz I also see it that way Why should the topic of finances only concern men. Everyone should think about it.

The more important question is why do you have 3x a World Etf and then an ACWI Etf in addition?:D

profile image
@SharkAce My money is on changing the free savings plans. 🙄

profile image
@SharkAce because at the beginning i bought everything blindly without understanding what these etfs are - apparently i lacked the exchange with others who could have dissuaded me 🌚

@FinancialKaiza unfortunately no 😂

profile image
@SandyCandy definitely because that makes absolutely no sense 😂 (if but clarifies me gladly haha) You are virtually 3x the same only from a different provider + the ACWI is virtually the World + EM ETF in one :D so I would definitely convert what
profile image
@SandyCandy Yes, but it's not bad, just remember that you pay 4x your TER of 0.XX%. If I were you, I would pick your favorite World ETF, sell the others and increase the savings plan with the sold amount.

@sin_ned but the TER is not the same 😅 ishares has eg 0.20 and xtracker 0.19 luxor is even believed at 0.07 or so? so in itself you're right yes but in that case the good lady pays on it :D

As a diverse monkey I feel excluded from this discussion. Too bad, thought this platform is for everyone 😔

profile image
@SquirtGame the platform yes, my question not 🦍
2
@SquirtGame as a diverse monkey you are allowed to discuss with both sexes. I actually find it quite interesting to hear the women's side. Personally, I don't know a single lady in my environment who is independently invested in securities. The male side, on the other hand, is very common, but no one talks about it openly, which I personally find very unfortunate. Invests should not be a secret, you should be able to talk about it without envy. Everyone has it largely in their own hands what they do for their assets and how.

Among us guys, we talk about it almost every day. Most of the girls I know somehow don't care. Well

I think that GIRL PWR have a better sensibility. 🚀
profile image
I've already persuaded 2 friends to invest😅
profile image
@Tech_Invest Have you regretted it? Or are your friends happy 🥸
profile image
Happy so far :)

When I look at my circle of friends, there's no one in their early thirties who is at all worried about investing. Neither my boyfriends nor my girlfriends. What makes it even more difficult for my female friends is that they are usually in typical "women's jobs", such as nursing and the like, for the corresponding salary. They tend to be happy if they don't run out of money before the end of the month.
profile image
Unfortunately, I rarely talk about this topic with friends, but not at all. It generally depends on who you talk to. As I am a student, many of my university friends have unfortunately not yet dared to go public.
profile image
Then swap places with the finance boys
profile image
I've given up. They only see the risk and prefer to park their money in an overnight money account. Inflation is ignored and any explanation on my part is ignored. I don't care now. Everyone is the architect of their own fortune. 🤷🏼‍♀️
profile image
It is indeed a frequent topic, but only among those who invest. The rest just listen and throw in sentences like "but inflation" at inappropriate points.

@Xeophon 🙄🙄🙄 Quite simply: I almost only have female friends and it's clear to everyone that women tend to invest less 🥸 Nevertheless, it would be nice if you could exchange ideas with them 🤷🌚

@sin_ned When I hear that my mother has her money in a savings account, I break out in a sweat - at least in the call money. She doesn't have to put her vacation fund or whatever into stocks, but at least into her call money account.

And with friends and acquaintances, when topics like this come up, I at least try to convince them to at least take a look at it or deal with it.
Most of the time, however, I tend to hold back and just nod in agreement. 😅
profile image
@FinancialKaiza but you can inspire them and convince them to invest at least a few percent of the money.
profile image
@AlexiSchulz Yes, I wrote at least get people to at least deal with it. You'll probably know that with some people you just have to sit there and say nothing because it doesn't help. If you realize that a good exchange can help, then I like to try and nudge them in the right direction.

Convincing is always one thing, others really have to look for themselves. Otherwise, in my opinion, it doesn't help.

@FinancialKaiza ah, that's what you meant. You're absolutely right. The problem is usually that people find it difficult to deal with this topic. It took me a long time too. Now I regret it, but it's never too late. Just inform yourself, read, listen to YouTube, podcasts, etc.

@Evalo It's wrong to persuade people, but I think it's important to make them aware of this, because I think it's very important nowadays to ensure a good financial future for yourself.
