Hello everyone 🙂

My name is Alex, I'm 19 years young and I'm currently doing an apprenticeship as an IT specialist. I also run a web agency and am working on publishing an app with my partner. I've also been investing for a good year now.

My goal is to reach a fortune of €1,000,000 by the age of 25.

I have been interested in finance, investing and self-employment since I was 16.

I come from an ordinary working-class family. We always had enough, but there were also times when money was tight.

Back then, I decided that I didn't want to accept this life, neither for myself nor for my future family. I asked myself how others had succeeded and whether I could do it too.

That's why I started to look into finance in general, the stock market, ETFs, individual shares and cryptocurrencies. I read numerous books about investing and money, followed successful personalities such as Elon Musk and Steve Jobs and studied their success stories in depth.

I quickly realized that most successful people know how to manage money (through investing) and are self-employed. So I decided to do the same.

From an early age, I was adept at working with computers and learned programming early on. That's why I'm now training as an IT specialist for application development at a company.

I soon realized that being an employee was not the right thing for me and would not make me financially independent.

Alongside my training, I have built up a successful web agency that mainly handles local orders. I develop websites, do search engine optimization and social media marketing.

I also work with my partner on a financial app that is unique in the world.

I invest between 50% and 60% of all my income every month. I use the rest for leisure activities (concerts, car, time with my girlfriend) and vacations.

My portfolio is quite simple: I invest in an all-world ETF and also add the S&P 500 to give the USA a higher weighting. I also invest a small amount in Bitcoin (10%).

In this short journey alone, I've learned that it's not that hard to be successful and that anyone can make something of their life. Nowadays, there are countless opportunities to further your education, increase your income or become self-employed. Investing has never been so easy and is actually available to everyone.

My goal is not to have €1,000,000 at the age of 25 and then stop. Nor do I want to stop when I reach €5,000,000 at the age of 35. On the contrary, my goal is endless.

I enjoy what I do and how I do it so much that I can't imagine stopping at the moment.

My message is that anyone can be successful these days. You just have to want it, do it and persevere.

I apologize for the long text. I didn't think it would be so long. I hope it is understandable and makes sense.

I would also like to encourage discussion.

Does anyone else have such goals?

Why employed and not self-employed?

How much money would you be satisfied with?

I would also appreciate feedback & criticism on my post.

A small side note to your message "that really anyone can be successful these days. You just have to want it, do it and persevere." Why don't you tell that to the children who work in a cobalt mine, for example? That may be true for the western world, but certainly not for the whole world.

@Krush82 Everyone has to do their bit. One with a golden spoon in his mouth, the other with a pickaxe in the cobalt mine. If you look at the history of child labor in Europe, you can imagine the rest.

@Reinecke What kind of answer is that 😂😂😂😂

@leveragegrinding a social development. Who knows who is holding the hoe in their hand. You have to want to improve something for it to change. Blood & sweat are a good motivation & drive.
profile image
@Reinecke? do not really understand the connection between "blood and sweat are a good motivation and drive" and decades of exploitation of parts of the world

@leveragegrinding didn't pay attention to feudalism and the industrial revolution in Europe, hmmm ? In a pyramid of prosperity, no nation starts at the top, but if you feel sorry for the children in the mine, you can transfer your deposit to them.

@Krush82 In my opinion, that applies to the whole world. The hurdles and problems vary in size, that's true. However, every hurdle and every problem can be solved.

@alextapelea1212 You can only write such bullshit if you are not affected by it

@Krush82 However, this also applies to people who are not part of the solution.
profile image
@Reinecke Of course, who doesn't know the relationship of dependency between Europe and the 3rd states during the industrial revolution.

And to throw extreme arguments around. I didn't say it should be the task of one individual, nor does it make sense to sacrifice "everything" to help people there.

You can also simply try to prevent exploitation through regulation, prosperity can also be built within moral boundaries.
tHen you can't even see the depOt😂
Such populist nonsense

Have a nice day

@leveragegrinding In Germany, child labor in agriculture was only banned by law in 1960. So high on horseback, it is easy to tell others how they should live and what morals and ethics are. If Europe had applied today's moral and ethical standards as we want to chisel them into our supply chain laws, we would probably still be a developing country today. Why don't we set minimum wages of €12.45 in Africa right away, everything else would be exploitation, CO2 neutral of course and please don't cut down any forests. Prosperity doesn't come out of nowhere, if one person wants to gain something then at least 10 others have to lose something. That's the way it has always been and that's the way it will always be.

Well, as a logistics specialist, it's rather difficult for me to start my own business. Or should I set up a logistics services company? There are professions where it is rather easy to become self-employed. But no hate, I think it's great how determined you are at such a young age.

@Alumdria You can also become self-employed in other areas outside of your profession 😉

Sounds great. I wish you every success on your journey.
But there's one thing I haven't understood yet? Do you really already have an agency "on the side" or are you a freelancer?

@DerMartin an agency on the side

@alextapelea1212 Wow. A lot of effort 💪

This is the right attitude 💪🏼.

Sounds all well and good, but when will your app be able to do something so unique?
@KapriolenCapital Our app will be uploaded to the App Store and Play Store at the beginning of next year. Until then, of course, everything is secret 🙂.

@alextapelea1212 I would be interested if you could post it here ✌️

@KapriolenCapital Flashlight APP based on AI ;-)

@Krush82 unfortunately not, there is a lot more behind it ;-)

You must now have over 150k left over per year. You won't have any costs for your agency etc.?

Otherwise great if you make it :)

I don't think you have an exact plan for 1mio at 25 years. For example, how do you want to achieve this, smaller milestones, how much equity do you need to start, whether you will get support from the state... 1 million is not easy, especially at the age of 25. But otherwise, good luck. Perseverance and striving for goals are super important
@Esperanza exactly how I manage that would have been too much for one post. Maybe I'll think about posting another article about it 🙂

What is your weighting of Allworld and S&P in percent?
profile image
Have fun and good luck, but things usually don't turn out the way you want them to

Sounds like a plan. Respect for that. I wonder how you get clients for your agency? Would you like to explain? And what exactly do you do?
