Hello everyone 🙂

My name is Alex, I'm 19 years young and I'm currently doing an apprenticeship as an IT specialist. I also run a web agency and am working on publishing an app with my partner. I've also been investing for a good year now.

My goal is to reach a fortune of €1,000,000 by the age of 25.

I have been interested in finance, investing and self-employment since I was 16.

I come from an ordinary working-class family. We always had enough, but there were also times when money was tight.

Back then, I decided that I didn't want to accept this life, neither for myself nor for my future family. I asked myself how others had succeeded and whether I could do it too.

That's why I started to look into finance in general, the stock market, ETFs, individual shares and cryptocurrencies. I read numerous books about investing and money, followed successful personalities such as Elon Musk and Steve Jobs and studied their success stories in depth.

I quickly realized that most successful people know how to manage money (through investing) and are self-employed. So I decided to do the same.

From an early age, I was adept at working with computers and learned programming early on. That's why I'm now training as an IT specialist for application development at a company.

I soon realized that being an employee was not the right thing for me and would not make me financially independent.

Alongside my training, I have built up a successful web agency that mainly handles local orders. I develop websites, do search engine optimization and social media marketing.

I also work with my partner on a financial app that is unique in the world.

I invest between 50% and 60% of all my income every month. I use the rest for leisure activities (concerts, car, time with my girlfriend) and vacations.

My portfolio is quite simple: I invest in an all-world ETF and also add the S&P 500 to give the USA a higher weighting. I also invest a small amount in Bitcoin (10%).

In this short journey alone, I've learned that it's not that hard to be successful and that anyone can make something of their life. Nowadays, there are countless opportunities to further your education, increase your income or become self-employed. Investing has never been so easy and is actually available to everyone.

My goal is not to have €1,000,000 at the age of 25 and then stop. Nor do I want to stop when I reach €5,000,000 at the age of 35. On the contrary, my goal is endless.

I enjoy what I do and how I do it so much that I can't imagine stopping at the moment.

My message is that anyone can be successful these days. You just have to want it, do it and persevere.

I apologize for the long text. I didn't think it would be so long. I hope it is understandable and makes sense.

I would also like to encourage discussion.

Does anyone else have such goals?

Why employed and not self-employed?

How much money would you be satisfied with?

I would also appreciate feedback & criticism on my post.

A small side note to your message "that really anyone can be successful these days. You just have to want it, do it and persevere." Why don't you tell that to the children who work in a cobalt mine, for example? That may be true for the western world, but certainly not for the whole world.

Well, as a logistics specialist, it's rather difficult for me to start my own business. Or should I set up a logistics services company? There are professions where it is rather easy to become self-employed. But no hate, I think it's great how determined you are at such a young age.

Sounds great. I wish you every success on your journey.
But there's one thing I haven't understood yet? Do you really already have an agency "on the side" or are you a freelancer?

Sounds all well and good, but when will your app be able to do something so unique?

You must now have over 150k left over per year. You won't have any costs for your agency etc.?

Otherwise great if you make it :)
