@KapriolenCapital Actually, I have never seriously worked with GitHub (crazy, right?). However, I am the boss of close to 20 developers and privately know a few who have used both over a long period of time. Every single one (!) has answered the question about GitLab vs Atlassian vs GitHub vs Azure DevOps with GitLab.

@KapriolenCapital From the boss's perspective, the tools around GitHub (e.g. for work organization) are very poor. Even Azure DevOps is much better. GitLab offers a much better overall package here. Microsoft wants to invest a lot more in this area in the near future, but hopefully GitLab will be on the next level by the time that happens.
