Thoughts on PayPal 🧐

After PayPal $PYPL (-0.29%) lost some ground today after the quarterly figures, I'm going to take a closer look at the company.

I have had PayPal on my extended watchlist for some time. The development of the business is now slowly picking up speed again and the valuation is attractive - especially with regard to the free cash flow yield of over 8% in particular.

Given the current valuation and growth, I see limited downside potential.

What do you think of PayPal? Do you see major problems ahead for the company that justify the valuation discount?

Stay tuned,

Yours Nico Uhlig aka RealMichaelScott

I would currently award a hold.

But I've been in for a while and was already down 25%.

For me, the current valuation is still a question mark. Figures have been okay to good again. In my opinion, the increasingly difficult market environment is playing a major role. I am holding on to my position and would take another bite in the event of a major setback.

Only weaklings will definitely sell at the moment. To buy now, however, you need a little more nerve than last year.

At the moment, the mood on the market is more optimistic again, but subjectively I thought the risk of a downturn was almost zero when we were at €50.

In any case, stick with it for those who have held out this far!
