$AAPL (+2.87%)-supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said today:

"The pre-orders for the iPhone 16-series in the first weekend are estimated to be around 37 million units estimated, which represents a decline of around 12,7 % compared to the first weekend of sales of the iPhone 15 series in the previous year last year."

No wonder, given the prices. Especially when the more technologically competitive features are initially only available in the home country. I sit on my IPhone 12 Pro Max and think to myself every year "nope, the Gekd is better off in a world market fund."
