The costs are more interesting. Write down what the fun has cost you. With Zero you can reinvest dividends directly, free of charge. Let's see what the difference is.

•@Reinecke I would also be interested in the costs for TR. I had it in my head that such an instruction costs €5 or even €10. But that wasn't really clear from the price and service specifications at the time.
It would be very interesting to find out what it really costs

•I did this once with trade republic with Ares. It didn't cost anything. But just for the sake of testing, I still don't understand the point of it. Technically, the net dividend was credited approx. two to three weeks after the actual payment date and shares in Ares were bought on the same day at the then valid price in the amount of the gross dividend. That's why I don't understand what the point is. I don't know in advance when this reinvest will be executed and what the share price will be. so I'm totally in the dark. I sometimes have to give the instruction several weeks in advance. I also don't get any preferential rates, at least I haven't noticed any. On the other hand, I could buy the share myself manually at any time if I wanted it, but then I know exactly how high the price is and whether it makes sense for me at all. You also have to make sure that you have money in your clearing account because, as I said, the gross dividend is bought but you only get the net dividend credited.
So I no longer do that. But if anyone sees a deeper meaning to this, please feel free to explain it, I would be very interested.

•I also created an account with zero for this very purpose of reinvesting. It's not free there, but costs one euro per trade. So it doesn't matter whether you do it manually or automatically.

•You probably still have the instructions. It states when the shares are booked in after payment of the cash dividend. This varies greatly and takes place within a range of 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the company

•@_Harry_ Thank you.
So in principle you were paid net and then reinvested, but for the gross amount.
You say nothing happened on the account? How does that work? 😅
Or is the statement just for visual purposes 😅

@Reinecke That's not quite right.
You can only reinvest from €1 or €25, but they are fractions and therefore cost a fee of €1. Other amounts are not possible

•@Reinecke jo also thought it worked well at first until I read through it in more detail. Therefore not usable.
It would be good if you could always say buy whole parts, which would then be commission-free.
