Discussion round - Tesla growth stock? or a total overvaluation?

Happy Sunday first of all to all!

I'm very interested in having an exciting discussion with you several times a week be it about taxes, finance, politics etc. (feel free to post requests in the comments).

Today I specifically chose Tesla, because the opinions here on getquin are extremely different and so we can have an exciting discussion.

So that we have an exciting discussion, please go at least to the upcoming points :)

-> Do you have the $TSLA (-2.68%) share in your portfolio?

-> For which reasons are you (not) invested?

-> Main argument for an investment

-> Main argument against an investment

-> Supplements from you.

Yes, I am all-in, because Tesla is the most innovative company, with e-mobility, self-driving, solar, storage, AI, robotics, exactly the topics that will dominate the next 10-20 years. And because they have the most brilliant CEO of our generation. The company carries the growth from its own cash flows, has no debt, has the best margins in the industry, has extreme capital efficiency (ROIC ⬆️), they have only 1-2% of their TAM occupied and thus enough runway to keep growing for at least 10 years. The 50% per year growth they have been showing for the last 5 years is unprecedented for the size and for a manufacturing company. In short I don't see a better company for the next 10 years and am rock solidly convinced they will soon become the largest company in the world. Think Apple but with a $50k product not a $1k product. 🤯

@Aktienfoxx why do you like someone who wants to legitimize a vote on Trump's return to twitter with latin words cut out of a speech about how the average democratic vote only leads to bullshit? Someone who first boosts the growth of a company at the expense of workers' salaries and working conditions and lets himself be celebrated for it?

Someone who is only interested in other people if they can have a massive influence on his fortune, otherwise does not care about what happens to other people? Take a look at psychological assessments, you can find them on the web and on YouTube, I can think of many things about Musk, but sympathetic is infinitely far from it.

@PatBateman is right. He fills our sky with thousands of satellites and Tesla sells cars. Awesome.

Have sold. Possibly get back in if they continue to dip.

@orkan why did you sell
profile image
@Aktienfoxx because it looked to me like a correction was about to start.
profile image
@orkan so it was just a subjective sale
profile image
Well, if you apply some chart technique it also looks bearish... if that is supposed to be subjective

@Zany nope, tesla is not interesting to me for the first time.

Have now sold after years in terms of profit taking. If the price continues to fall, I may get back in, but still have to dip extremely. Musk is for me increasingly no longer a savior, but rather a risk. The market will be flooded with various electric vehicles and manufacturers in the coming years. This unique selling proposition will diminish. Robotic and Ki, well, everyone has to weigh that up for themselves. The autonomous driving also does not keep what it promises (drive Tesla S from time to time) and to Robotic there are also other values. One of them even a snapper currently. In my opinion, the years with extreme growth are over, unless of course the value dips further. Potential exists, but for me no longer in the current economic situation ( consumer restraint), and Twitter. If Musk needs even more money for Twitter, there will soon be Tesla even cheaper. We will see, only the crystal ball can tell us. For this it will never come to an opinion in the forum😬 I'm out, have a nice Sunday

Have Tesla also in the depot and indeed out of conviction that it is one of the most innovative company and will be.....bisschen like Apple there buy many only to belong to it, identify with the product and simply join the community...and both have a special CEO...which can not be different but think further than some others...✌🏼

Have bought me before the split sometime 2 Tesla shares, then sold one with 100% profit and the other so to speak "gift" continue to run and see where the journey goes. Since I have already taken out the original stake again, I see this pretty relaxed and just let me surprise :)

I think the share is still far too expensive
profile image
I am not invested. The company may be as great as many here think, but that doesn't mean that the share is a good investment. The P/E is far too high, the company can grow as much as it wants. Moreover, the competition is catching up. Fundamentally overvalued according to my analysis and if expectations are missed, the share price will plummet. I think the share price will halve in 1 to 2 quarterly reports.

No, I don't have a Tesla in my portfolio and have consciously decided against it.
Even if emotions should not play the decisive role in an investment or investment strategy, for both supporters and opponents, my emotion is I don't like Musk (change since 2 years) and the dependency Tesla - Musk.
Regardless of whether I am missing out on a high-yield investment.
I disagree with the previous speakers regarding a currently favorable entry, as there are now other car manufacturers who have a chance to keep up with Tesla.

@MeName I have the focus and parking is really great 😁 it gets into gaps, which would be far too strenuous for me manually

@MeName park really? While Teslas drive through cities in the USA for hours without intervention? 😂😂😂 Some people here are really lost.
You don't have to believe in Tesla, they are simply objectively the best vehicles on the market, all things considered.

@MeName it's just not obvious why other car manufacturers should suddenly be able to do better, they've been failing with the Tesla Killer for years.
I can still remember when someone came out with a better iPhone... oh wait not

@MeName right because these people have been talking up Tesla sales are growing at 50% every year for 5 years and has increased ttm EPS from $0.18 in Q3 2020 to $3.23 in Q3 2022 in 2 years. Yes that definitely makes sense 😂.
I think you're giving the retail community a little too much credit.
Besides, you were just talking about companies and products, namely that the other car manufacturers could do better.

@MeName irrelevant. The question is what share price would the company have earned?
Around $400 at least.

@Sekm then you've really underperformed the market 👍🏻
No, they're in an absolutely shit position because they don't offer a competitive product. No matter what symbol is on the front. Nokia used to be the best cell phone brand 💀 but then it wasn't for long.

"No dividend" 🆘
"cOmPeTitIoN iS cOmInG" 🆘🆘
"When the big ones come first" 😂 Newsflash Tesla are now the big ones!

@Dutschke Margins, growth, robotics, AI, autonomous driving...

@Dutschke E-cars, software, AI, autonomous driving and the best margins in the industry. Growth will continue, they have just 1% of TAM. The competition has been there since Tesla existed 😂 nothing has happened.

@Dutschke Newsflash for you: Tesla is the only real car manufacturer these days. But that's just their side business.
