Opinion for $TSLA

Discussion round - Tesla growth stock? or a total overvaluation?

Happy Sunday first of all to all!

I'm very interested in having an exciting discussion with you several times a week be it about taxes, finance, politics etc. (feel free to post requests in the comments).

Today I specifically chose Tesla, because the opinions here on getquin are extremely different and so we can have an exciting discussion.

So that we have an exciting discussion, please go at least to the upcoming points :)

-> Do you have the $TSLA share in your portfolio?

-> For which reasons are you (not) invested?

-> Main argument for an investment

-> Main argument against an investment

-> Supplements from you.

Yes, I am all-in, because Tesla is the most innovative company, with e-mobility, self-driving, solar, storage, AI, robotics, exactly the topics that will dominate the next 10-20 years. And because they have the most brilliant CEO of our generation. The company carries the growth from its own cash flows, has no debt, has the best margins in the industry, has extreme capital efficiency (ROIC ⬆️), they have only 1-2% of their TAM occupied and thus enough runway to keep growing for at least 10 years. The 50% per year growth they have been showing for the last 5 years is unprecedented for the size and for a manufacturing company. In short I don't see a better company for the next 10 years and am rock solidly convinced they will soon become the largest company in the world. Think Apple but with a $50k product not a $1k product. 🤯

Have sold. Possibly get back in if they continue to dip.

Have now sold after years in terms of profit taking. If the price continues to fall, I may get back in, but still have to dip extremely. Musk is for me increasingly no longer a savior, but rather a risk. The market will be flooded with various electric vehicles and manufacturers in the coming years. This unique selling proposition will diminish. Robotic and Ki, well, everyone has to weigh that up for themselves. The autonomous driving also does not keep what it promises (drive Tesla S from time to time) and to Robotic there are also other values. One of them even a snapper currently. In my opinion, the years with extreme growth are over, unless of course the value dips further. Potential exists, but for me no longer in the current economic situation ( consumer restraint), and Twitter. If Musk needs even more money for Twitter, there will soon be Tesla even cheaper. We will see, only the crystal ball can tell us. For this it will never come to an opinion in the forum😬 I'm out, have a nice Sunday

Have Tesla also in the depot and indeed out of conviction that it is one of the most innovative company and will be.....bisschen like Apple there buy many only to belong to it, identify with the product and simply join the community...and both have a special CEO...which can not be different but think further than some others...✌🏼

Have bought me before the split sometime 2 Tesla shares, then sold one with 100% profit and the other so to speak "gift" continue to run and see where the journey goes. Since I have already taken out the original stake again, I see this pretty relaxed and just let me surprise :)

I'm invested in Tesla for the most part. Elon is just great, even if I don't approve of every action. Cars are ingenious and also drive great. Apart from the cars, they are simply the biggest innovator in the areas in which they are on the road. It is also always great to see how other manufacturers do not get it together to deliver OTA software updates for their cars and you therefore always have to go to the workshop.

I think the share is still far too expensive
Good evening,

I have Tesla in my portfolio, even though it is a small holding. For me, it is a clear growth stock.

Now to the valuation:

I don't think Tesla can completely decouple itself from cost inflation in energy and raw materials in the short term. However, after the significant increase in delivery figures for 3Q2022, I believe that sales will continue to develop dynamically in the following quarter. There is still an increase in demand for e-cars. Tesla is creating the right conditions for further dynamic sales growth by expanding capacity and starting production in Austin, Texas and Grünheide, Brandenburg. The investor day on artificial intelligence has also provided impetus for further products, which I also see as positive.

What is your opinion on this?
