Should you invest in a momentum ETF on Europe?

Due to the weakening European economy and the dependence on global factors, the question arises as to whether a momentum ETF makes more sense.$MCEU (-0.39%) This fund invests specifically in companies that have performed well this year despite the many crises and has achieved a return of +20% this year. It follows the principle that what has done well will continue to do well. A classic European ETF, on the other hand, offers lower costs, but only recorded a return of +8% over the same period $SMEA (-0.07%) . What do you think makes more sense? In terms of the last year, the Momentum ETF was better, is it also better in the long term?

S&P 500 is better in the long term. Keep it simple.

Not bad. I honestly don't see any argument against it. As long as it works, it works. Certainly not a bad addition to a portfolio. But if it drifts into the single-digit yield range, I would dump it.
