2,000€ have been reached!

I am aware that this sum is not really something special for most people.

I'm currently in my apprenticeship (trade) and manage to invest around €100 a month. I built up this sum myself right from the start.

At the beginning I had to pay a bit of a learning curve (around €200) because I thought I could beat the market with the help of penny stocks. Now I'm pursuing a passive strategy, which I want to continue until I retire. I also have a fraction of bitcoin on my hardware wallet.

This post should serve as motivation to push the real, in the truest sense of the word, "small investors". Keep going!

Every euro counts. I also invested the first €2k during the coronavirus crash while I was training. From a dividend of €80 in 2020, it's now just under €4,200 this year according to the forecast.

Keep at it and don't get involved in gimmicks, then the €2000 will quickly turn into €200,000

Sometimes it's tempting to invest in individual stocks, of course. But now I can say goodbye to this temptation 😂

I invest without a forecast and follow all trends thanks to broad diversification.

@Kosmonaut Yes, that's often the case. I think if you really want to invest for your retirement, you should always remain forecast-free.

Just because Microsoft, NVIDIA, Apple & co. are at the top today doesn't necessarily mean this will be the case in over 15 years' time.

In the past, the top companies in the MSCI World rotated constantly.

Great 🤩 I also come from a family of craftsmen 🥳 my father was a carpenter and definitely the sole breadwinner for 15 years... I now work with my husband in the social sector ... I can understand that very well... my family managed to build and pay off a very large house on their own... with a lot of personal contribution 😒 that's exactly why I invest... if you start early you simply have more later 🥳 don't get discouraged and keep going 🥳

I'd rather pay 200 EUR than several thousand later. :) I can also promise you that this won't be your only learning money. But that's perfectly okay as long as you stubbornly and steadily pump most of it into your long-term portfolio. These 2 ETFs are more than enough, even if you end up with 20,000 or 50,000 EUR in your portfolio.

Sometimes China gives me a bit of a headache. But I can't know whether the tide will turn and in 20 years China will be as big in the EM as the USA is in the MSCI World...

I can tell you that for your age you are further ahead than 90-99% of people your age. So 2k is 2k.
I know people who save that in a year to go on vacation.... So keep at it and don't look at others.
