Hi folks,

I just wanted to ask for advice on how to buy the $NESN (+0.65%) share (not the ADR)?

I have a deposit with Trade Republic, where it is only possible to buy the ADR...

but I also have a custody account with Consorsbank and there I can buy the normal share but there are several markets and costs are shown for the 1st and 3rd year... 22EUR in total

Is there another way where the costs are not so high or am I overlooking another possibility or do I have to bite the bullet here?

Thank you very much in advance and have a nice weekend! 🤑🚀

You can buy Swiss shares at Finanzen Zero.
(If you would like a ref link, please let me know)

But I don't see any problem with buying ADRs in Switzerland. I don't think they will invade anywhere in the near future or isolate themselves from the rest of the world.

@Der_Dividenden_Monteur I'd be happy to share a link and the point about marching in is also good😂
I don't know either, but the feeling of having the ordinary share is sometimes just better🙈

I am also a monk and don't want ADRs but real shares. That's why I buy Swiss assets like Nestle and Roche via my Commerzbank custody account.

@TheAmazingInc have previously lived in Austria, Germany and France. Switzerland is a different level, especially for investors 👍🏻

@Tojasoku Mega!!! Then you've definitely been able to gain a lot of experience in the countries, especially from an investor's perspective💪
I was thinking about moving to Switzerland in the middle of the year, but would like to do an engineering degree in electrical engineering here and then look around. I also have a few other ideas with a side business to gain some experience. After that, I'm aiming to move to Switzerland🚀

@TheAmazingInc Completing your studies is sensible. It wasn't difficult for me with a German science degree plus a doctorate to find something in Switzerland! 👍🏻

I wish you all the best!

Interactive Brokers (IBKR) should have pretty much the most trading venues and very good (low) spreads.

Trade Republic is nice and clear to start with, but the 1€ trading fee is misleading about the actual costs, plus they have far too few stock exchanges.

@Malte123 with TR you only trade via L&S, but the 1€😅... I think I once read that the prices are sometimes a little higher for this

@TheAmazingInc Exactly, the so-called spreads, the difference between the official price and the price at which you buy.

Trade Republic certainly makes sense for the smallest amounts, but as soon as the amounts are somewhat larger/more normal, it is better to pay a little more order fee and buy at a better price.
