Subsequent purchase Nestle $NESTLE

My first share purchase in 2024 was in February $NESN (-0.83%) .

I often think about which stocks will still be going strong decades from now. Boring sectors that are essential to life, such as food & drink, are among them. Boring, but a great fit for my portfolio to benefit from share prices and personal dividend yields in the long term.

I buy Nestle for the following reasons:

  • With a market capitalization of over 250 billion, it is one of the largest companies in the non-cyclical consumer/food sector
  • The entry point is currently at over 3% dividend yield
  • Has been increasing its dividend for over 25 years

I have waited a long time to buy the share again at an exciting price. Over the next few years, I will continue to buy here occasionally when prices are low.

In what way is market capitalization an argument for anything? If it is particularly large, you tell yourself that a company is too-big-too-fail and if it is particularly small, you tell yourself that the upside potential must be immeasurable.
