Isn't it the responsibility of the management to strategically align the company for the future and to equip the plants/operations so that they can produce efficiently?
Instead of setting up battery cell production independently years ago, the company has made itself dependent on China. Apart from the dependence on suppliers, the company has not built up its own know-how and experience with the technology.
So a criticism of yourself? 😏

•@MoneyISnotREAL...and preferred to work with exhaust gas cheating instead of developing innovations. 30-40 billion in the sand, lost time and missed the boat.

•@MoneyISnotREAL if the Supervisory Board blocks anything innovative that jeopardizes the status quo. China is also massively subsidized by the state. It's easy to get something off the ground there if the state finances your production facilities. Similar to the Hermes guarantees from the German government, but you only get them if you build weapons factories or infrastructure in war zones.

@MoneyISnotREAL they relied to heavily on their alliance with BYD (which started in 2009 or so I think), and now BYD is coming for a piece of European market share.... Porsche bought Varta a while a go, they were in trouble, but when the whole VW group is going to order batteries from Varta that is a good purchase (if the EV ranges increase, sales will follow, because they totally missed the boat there with there EV models they put out in the last few years). Now it is to hope that Rivian doesn't screw VW over. And than we have the cooperation with XPeng. This one is important to compete with Tesla in the future in the field of driving data. I hope for the best 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
