Philippe Balducchi moves to $LILM (+4.41%)

MUNICH, Germany, September 12, 2024:

Lilium N.V. ($LILM (+4.41%) ), a leading manufacturer of electric aircraft and pioneer in the field of Regional Air Mobility (RAM), today announced changes to its Board of Directors, which are subject to approval at the upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

The company intends to, Philippe Balducchi as a non-executive director, while Barry Engle and Henri Courpron, who have served as non-executive directors, will not stand for re-election upon expiry of their terms.

Philippe Balducchi is currently Group CFO at KNDS, a leading European defense technology provider with manufacturing facilities in France and Germany and international industrial partnerships.

Philippe Balducchi brings extensive experience in aerospace programs, having previously held several senior management positions during a 20-year career at Airbus and its predecessor companies. As CEO of Airbus Canada, Philippe oversaw the production ramp-up of the successful Bombardier C Series, its renaming to Airbus A220 and the establishment of a new final assembly line in Alabama. Mr. Balducchi is an aeronautical engineer and holds an MBA from HEC Paris Business School.

Tom Enders, Chairman of Lilium, commented on the EGM proposal: "Philippe's strategic insight, financial expertise and experience in managing large-scale operations in the aerospace and defense sector make him a valuable addition to Lilium's Board."

Philippe Balducchi commented: "I am delighted to be proposed for a position at Lilium at such an exciting time in its development. The company's vision for electric air mobility is not only innovative but also transformative for the industry. I look forward to contributing to Lilium's continued success and working with the talented team and board members to advance our shared goals."

Barry Engle and Henri Courpron have both been instrumental in shaping Lilium's direction and helping the company evolve from a startup to an established aviation company.

Barry Engle has been a member of Lilium's Board of Directors since September 2021. He played a key role in securing Lilium's NASDAQ listing through a De-SPAC process. Since joining the Board, Barry has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee. He has now taken on a business position that no longer allows him to be part of a board in Europe.

Tom Enders, Chairman of Lilium, said: "Barry and Henri have made outstanding contributions to Lilium. Serving on a board on the other side of the Atlantic brings additional challenges and sacrifices.

We are very grateful for their service and wish them all the best for the future."
