A few days ago, when I shared my 13-year performance of over 20,000% (the MSCI World returned less than 400% over the same period), people expressed an interest in hearing my investment story. @Alpalaka was interested in hearing my investment story.

If enough people are interested, I'll write up the story and share it here. But it's a bit longer, so I wouldn't bother if only a few people are interested anyway.

It's about my journey from building society saver to crypto donkey to global portfolio. From a working-class child with a gross annual salary of 26,000 euros to an academic with a gross annual salary of 150,000 euros. A lot of bad luck and even more good luck with crypto. About building up a mid-six-figure fortune without an inheritance or significant start-up aid. And what the Pirate Party has to do with it.

I'll probably never reach 150k (adjusted for inflation). (civil servant). For that I would have to reach pretty much the highest position in our ministry that is somehow possible for civil servants. Exception: you count stock gains and
a) I continue to save diligently (an absurd amount)
b) I make a reasonably good career (would make a) much easier)

But no envy! If I remember correctly, you live in Munich. I need a lot less to feel similarly rich 😂 and if I'm wrong: still hard-earned 👍🏻

I guess that's right. I actually forgot for a second. I should be somewhere between B5 and B6 at our office. That's actually a lot more feasible. Still top of the food chain, but maybe you don't have to be the minister's best buddy anymore

I'd like to give you a longer answer to your question. I wasn't quite awake this morning.

I generally enjoy listening to other people's life experiences. I didn't have it so good myself. Due to a relatively large family hole, I've had to pay off my debts over the last few years and can now start from virtually zero again. As you describe it, you were in a similar position, so I would be happy to hear your story 😁
