It heavily depends on needs/wants & size which broker or service provider is fitting.

@GeldGenie for investing in the stock market, no matter the size of investment, almost every broker has better fees (IBKR for e.g.), the fees are almost as big as banks. https://resources.swissquote.com/sites/swissquote.com/files/static_pdfs/sq_pricing_en_.pdf

SQN I can trade vanilla options, get market info, get phone support, got most markets/stock markets, register my shares for general meetings,….

Yes, neo-brokers are cheaper - but a lot more restricted.

@GeldGenie and you can do all that with ibkr for a fraction of the price that Swissquote offer. And SQN would be considered a neo broker in comparison to ibkr….

Because it's a Swiss broker and I am Swiss citizen handling with Swiss Francs. It has nearly all stocks, a very good support and a easy tax documentation. Nice and clear layout on the website with a lot of functions.

For me it’s not just about the lowest price. With Swissquote I can work fully in CHF, get Swiss-based support, and have tax documents ready for Swiss rules. The platform is clear, fast and fits my needs as a Swiss resident. That’s worth paying a bit more. I earn also enough to afford it and I also don't like english banks/brokers ;) But if it fits for you, go for it!

Zu $SQN kann ich nichts sagen, die anderen beiden finde ich gut, habe sie aber im Moment nur in einem ETF auf Blockchain Unternehmen. $HOOD hatte ich dieses Jahr schon gehandelt und nach 80% Gewinn in wenigen Wochen zu früh verkauft. Auf dem jetzigen Niveau würde ich weder $HOOD noch $COIN kaufen, sondern auf einen Rücksetzer warten.
