Hoa Phat Group JSC engages in the manufacture, trade, export, and import of iron and steel. It also trades materials and equipment for refining and rolling steel. It operates through following segments: Production and Trading of Steel; Trading of Construction Machinery; Manufacturing of Furniture and Refrigeration Products; Energy and Exploring and Exploiting Minerals; and Financial Investment (Parent Entity). The Production and Trading of Steels segment refines and casts steel and iron. The Trading of Construction Machinery segment produces and trades construction equipment, and exploits medium and small sized metals. The Manufacturing of Furniture and Refrigeration Products segment produces and trades interior furniture and refrigerant products. The Energy and Exploring and Exploiting Minerals segment involves in exploring, exploiting, refining, processing, importing, and exporting minerals; producing and selling coke coal; collecting fossil coal; producing refined oil products; and distributing of electricity. The Financial investment (parent entity) segment offers long-term investment in subsidiaries and associates. The company was founded in August 1992 and is headquartered in Hung Yen, Vietnam.
