What is your take on the risk of decreased volatility of $BTC and it's effect on $MSTR ? Because I think a lot of (professional) investors are heavily into gamma-trading concerning MSTR. Buy the convertible bonds of MSTR and sell short to neutralize the delta-risk of MSTR. If this pool is significantly large, a lot of the investors simply don't care about the drift of the stock price, but only the volatility of BTC and MSTR. If the BTC becomes more stable because of more institutional investors, it could decrease the volatility of both BTC and MSTR. Once the volatility is signficantly lower, gamma trading becomes less profitable and investors likely convert their bonds into shares, sell and put downward pressure on the share price of MSTR. The financials of MSTR may become more strained than they already are, especially given its high leverage. I feel that many retail investors buy MSTR thinking it's purely a leveraged play on Bitcoin, but the dynamics at play are more complex. Retail investors are often more exposed to delta risk, whereas professional investors focus on gamma risk.
