Today I opened the app and was the first time at 50,000! Unfortunately, already a little below. Nevertheless, amazing and also a bit scary how quickly you can bring quite a nice sum of money to the stock market.

Here's to the next 50,000!

@Anna11 crass. I think dividends are the best thing about stocks :-)
@Anna11 Congratulations, mental arson: take 10,000€ and put it into high dividend payers like BAT. Then you'll quickly get your FSA full and can continue to put the money into your ETFs.

@usere185c83dc0104615 if I ever have 10,000 left 😀 don't want to start restructuring now. It is also continuously more with dividends 😊

Yes sarcasm is sometimes a little harder to debunk in writing 🙈 and unfortunately there are many who feel quickly stepped on the feet. I still hope that you do not smoke! 🤣 Well, I am in a completely different salary class on the road than the colleagues of dentistry if they do it well 😀 but that is not my claim. As I said, it's enough 👍🏻 and I'm only at the beginning of my career. If it's not enough for me, I can still do additional emergency medical services etc.. But at the moment I'm opting for leisure time, not money....

2x lev msci usa at 30 is just awesome. I would time travel to tell me that in my early 30s. Good luck.

Congratulations. But anyone who can save €1,000 a month will have reached such a sum quite quickly 😅

@Hitchkock89 😋 Well, I don't just have that either. Live already also halfway frugal

@Anna11 Should also not be a criticism, that you live frugally is also worthy of all honor. But as a doctor you will still earn not bad, you must always see in relation, what is for one 50,000 €, are for others 5,000 €. 😉 Nevertheless, stay tuned and continue so 👍🏻

@Hitchkock89 I have not taken as criticism. I am of course already aware! Even if you live as a doctor also not in the prosperity as many may still believe. But it is of course quite sufficient what I get 😅

@Hitchkock89 how right you are. 2 divorces and maintenance for 3 children. I had to give up smoking so that I could afford the last increase in utility costs.

@KleinviehmachtMist I'm sorry. At least it has brought something good with it if you are now non-smoker. Congratulations!

@Anna11 i should mark sarcasm in the future 😉. Man is the sum of his decisions. Interesting that you put something aside, in my circle of friends you have to buy several condos a year, because you simply have no more room for the 9th Ferrari ( dentists / orthodontists ). Your best investment was your medical studies - that should be enough for Germany and if it pisses you off then you can emigrate to anywhere and even get the red carpet rolled out there. Don't worry I'm not divorced but happily married (with a marriage contract), I didn't have children arbitrarily (fortunately there is contraception because of all the diseases), but I have a niece and 3 godchildren. Sum of the decisions - is settled at the end. Let's see if I regret any decision at 65 (except that I have not studied medicine at the BW).

@Hitchkock89 not that 1,000€ is not bad. But especially in the period in which you are a few years out of education and scjon earn good money, many people can already put aside 1,000 € - if they want it. As a student, most get along with 800-1,000 € / month, from 2.5k net + 1k savings rate are accordingly well possible over a few years. Of course, no one has to do! But the feasibility is already given for many. Is just also the question of whether you really want it. As a doctor you have a very long training, in which you earn nothing. This time, in which others already earn money, you can use and also let the compound interest already work. For 1,000 € savings rate you should not necessarily be a hairdresser or kitchen help, but doctor, lawyer or management consultant you do not have to be...

@KevinC You said it. From 2,500 net - many don't even come close to earning that. Especially here in the East. Of course, it always depends on the perspective from which you see it, so 1,000 € monthly savings rate is very much or very little money 😉
profile image
@KevinC Yes, that's also the thing whether you want it. Some would rather treat themselves to something from the money as soon as they finally earn something. But everyone can do as he wants ☺️ I can also fully understand

@Hitchkock89 my salary after the training was 1.800€ - gross in 2013. With 45 hours per week. In a forwarding agency in Lower Saxony. That's why I a) still studied (financed by working as a student in shifts) and b) I moved to NRW after my studies and later to Saarland. My whole family lives in the same place. This was not always easy for me. I commute a lot on weekends because my family is also important to me. I'm a pretty average guy. Abi 3,2, civil service, education, studies. Math and statistics I only managed in the third and last attempt. At my last employer I took over new tasks for 4 years and didn't get a single salary increase (in the meantime the employer went bankrupt). Meanwhile my savings rate is > 50% of my salary. Have only a temporary project position for it. If I - who is certainly not the smartest guy - can do it, others can do it too. The nice thing is that the limit fell in the year I was born, so you can try your luck elsewhere. That doesn't mean you never return. By the way: a friend of mine (studied philosophy) works at an IT startup in NRW. He is now moving to Dresden with his partner because she is from there. He doesn't have to change jobs, and his salary remains the same. Unfortunately, it's not possible for me (logistics with a maximum of 1-2 days at the home office), so I have to move to a place where my work is valued appropriately, including financially. I certainly won't do that for the rest of my life, but for a few years (e.g. until I start a family) it is a very practical solution.

@Pejman7 Was actually always in the minus and since 1-2 months I'm back at zero. So far that is only saved
