Good morning everyone,

since a few weeks the Finance.net Zero connection does not work.

Currently, when trying to connect or create a new portfolio using Zero, we get a server error from the broker as a response.

According to our inquiry with FinAPI, who perform the data retrieval for us, the error is with Finanzen.net Zero.

There we were told that there is no error and to go to Baader Bank, because the error is there.

After several tests, we found that the connection to Baader Bank works.

Therefore, we decided to deactivate the Finanzen.net Zero connection for the time being. Accordingly, it is no longer displayed and can no longer be used.

We will test in irregular intervals whether the error has been fixed, otherwise the connection will remain deactivated for an indefinite period.

As a workaround, you can theoretically use the connection to Baader Bank with the Baader Bank access data that you received when you opened your securities account.

Alternatively, the portfolio must be kept up to date manually (purchases and sales).

would be great if you then also activate the function of the PDF import for all even if it is to be abolished.

Since this feature has not been further developed and kept up to date since May, there is very little chance that PDF files from Zero will work then and since we have globally disabled it for all users registered after May, there is very little benefit in re-adjusting PDF import now for Finanzen.net Zero. Accordingly, it remains disabled and we advise manual transactions.
@Kundenservice I find it very unattractive.

I see it then also only as a profit for the users without current access that one has PDF import. Because about the Baader Bank the times of the purchases are not correctly tracked, so that no dividends appear and the correct representation of the prices is consumed.

@Barney Exact purchase data or a full history was not available at Finanzen.net Zero either. :)

@Kundenservice But if I have to rebuild my portfolio now, without accurate data, what's the point of your app. It falsifies the portfolio data and does not show me the real state of profit or loss.

@Barney It is not up to us which data brokers make available. With Scalable and Trade Republic, for example, we have access to the full history. With other brokers we do not. You can also add the Baader Bank connection to an existing portfolio. As long as the securities held match those at Baader Bank, only future adjustments will be made.

@Kundenservice Unfortunately, this info comes too late. I deleted my Finanzen.net.zero and then added the Baader. As a result, all dividend payments are gone and future ones I get in the next period aren't there either. This, of course, eats away at the calculations. Likewise, the cryptos are not kept on the Baader Bank but somewhere else. Now you have to maintain that extra as well. But what the heck, it's too late anyway. Probably Scalable and TR are at an advantage.

Just reactivated the connection, as according to Finanzen.net Zero retrieval should work again. Feel free to give it a try.

@Barney Now can you please try again? :)

@Kundenservice Unfortunately still not working - It keeps coming up "Please log in again".

@HeadoN Too bad, it was worth a try.
Will you keep us up to date here? The data from Baader Bank are groats 😅

@totoafrica Yes, in between there was a message from Finanzen.net Zero that it should work again. The result was still the same error message that our requests are rejected there. Now we have contacted them again.

@Kundenservice And there's the problem again... This is somehow very annoying. :( Do you have any idea what the problem is or how long it will last?

@der_ul We have completely deactivated the connection and will continue to do so.
This back and forth is not very user-friendly, which is why the connection remains deactivated.

We still only receive an error in response.
I am also very unhappy that no import via PDF or -better yet- CSV is possible. The manual input is very time-consuming - just the fact that you can only set the transaction date via mouse! Why is there not at least a keyboard input here?

Throughout the last year 2022, we have strongly observed which import variants were used the most. These were always the manual and the Open Banking import. CSV was always used by less than 0.X% of users, but conversely generated a lot of support traffic. Compared to other import variants, more than five times the time of colleagues was spent on support for CSV. These human resources can be better used elsewhere, so the decision was simple that we abolish the CSV import. Similarly, the trend was very clear with PDF, where we have decided, however, that this will no longer be available only to new users.

We are always testing the appearance and functions of the manual import in the background to see which visual variants work better. The experience so far has been that it works well in the browser with the selection via the calendar. Other ideas are welcome and can be submitted at feedback.getquin.com, where there is also a public voting in which every user can participate.

@Kundenservice It would be good to make this clearer on the help pages. I tried the CSV import for a long time until I saw the small addition at the bottom that it is no longer available due to my join date - same with the PDF.

@Kundenservice The statistics from you is unreliable. You offered everything and then the majority used Open Banking Import and Manual. From my point of view, clear: the least costly and the most costly, because you want it to be very accurate. But now is a completely different situation. Open Banking Import does not exist. Now maybe PDF import and manual would be the most used. If I want to measure you an offer usage, it distorts everything if much more is offered.

@market_maestro_69 Thank you for pointing this out. We have moved the FAQ up in the articles.

@Dach
Just as an example at Finanzen.net Zero: there was no Open Banking there at the beginning either. Nevertheless, fewer people used the PDF import than the manual import. We evaluated corresponding data about the 100 most frequently used brokers.
@Kundenservice I'm not convinced, because now you could say that the PDF import also had teething troubles like the number of PDFs to be imported at the same time. That's why I had also used the manual import once. I'm missing the overall view.
Thanks for the info.
@Kundenservice how can I contact you directly here?

@MichaPB Web: Bottom right via the chat button App: Settings and then on "Help".
When will Wealthsimple connections be fixed?
profile image
@Kundenservice The connections do not work. I’m not the only one with this issue either
profile image
@shubam What exactly with the connection.
So do you get an error message?
Or is your portfolio incomplete?
@Kundenservice I just get a generic “connection failed” message.
profile image
@shubam This issue is already addressed to the service provider of the open banking as they deliver this error message.
@Kundenservice So we just need to wait until they fix this?
profile image
@shubam Yes, as this is not an in house build connection and the service provider has to fix it.

I cannot deposit my scalable account. Account and password are correct. @Kundenservice

An account Baader Bank I could deposit 2 weeks ago and it worked. I have just added another account, the connection is there, but I am shown 0 EUR. Does the workaround no longer work?

Has anything happened here yet? Because somehow it is rather suboptimal that no cryptos are transferred with the retrieval via Baader Bank...
