💸 Collected another dividend from Realty Income today - €19.92 net for my 102 shares. 🏠📈

Sure, at first glance that's not a huge amount. But that's where the magic lies: every euro that is reinvested immediately works for me. 🔄💪

And the longer you keep at it, the stronger the compound interest effect kicks in - small drops eventually turn into a whole stream. 🌊✨

I always find it fascinating how "just a few euros" can add up to a lot in the long term. Pure motivation! 🚀

Do you also have shares or REITs that regularly pay dividends into your portfolio?

I sold $O because I was no longer happy with the steep fall in the share price since summer 2022. I switched to a dividend ETF that pays out quarterly and still has growth.
The ETF has less dividend in % but growth, which is currently at the level of the MSCI.

These were my reasons for reallocating.
In the long term, I don't see an upward trend at $O

Withholding tax applies to both the ETF and $O.

But I don't have a crystal ball either

$O But it also simply makes 0 sense without reinvesting the dividends, buying dips constantly and then sticking with it for 20 years(+)... The thing is not exactly a yield machine, especially in the current market environment without dividends, it is often a negative number. I would almost say that even $KO is more exciting.

@DynasticGrind You're not wrong.
Unfortunately, I am still slightly in the red with dividends over the next 4 years.

@DynasticGrind You're right, perhaps $MAIN would have been the better alternative.

With the exception of BTC, a gold ETC and Nvidia, I have chosen everything as a distributor or with a focus on distributions.
And it's fun to see the jump every year. 😁
It's not much yet and the jumps are not big, but they are there and visible. 😅

After all, just under 240 euros a year.
With an overnight deposit of 2%, you would have to invest 12,000 euros.

I also have around 100 shares. It's fun to see a small monthly payment. And the allowance is also being utilized. I hope $O manages to break out above USD 80 then we would no longer be in the red 😬

I see $O primarily as a place to park money when I don't have a good investment idea.

Of course, if US interest rates fall, a few price gains are also possible, but against the background of US customs policy, I see this as a rather unlikely scenario.

The monthly inflows are particularly nice as long as you are not (yet) paying taxes on them (which seems to be the case with you, @FinanzPapa, at the moment).

@AlterFalter24 Also a good thought! 🙈 Unfortunately, we'll be paying taxes from July (when the tax-free amount is unfortunately used up for the year) 👀 Maybe it's time to reallocate 🙈

With the decline, compound interest naturally brings enormous benefits.
