HERE'S SOMETHING FOR THE DIVIDEND HUNTERS AMONG YOU TODAY 💸

Does your portfolio consist mainly of solid consumer staples, established industrial companies, and other reliable cash flow generators? But at the same time, are you missing out on exciting tech stocks because many of these companies either don’t pay dividends or are simply overvalued?

If so, I may have found an interesting candidate for you today. 👀

A company that not everyone is necessarily aware of, operating in an exciting niche and offering exactly the combination that many dividend investors are looking for: stable earnings, a strong balance sheet, and an attractive dividend.

Introducing:

🚗 Ituran Location & Control $ITRN
: The Invisible Toll Booth of Latin American Vehicle Security

While the tech world stares mesmerized at generative AI models and consumer software, a quiet telematics revolution has taken place in one of the world’s most criminally dangerous yet dynamic regions—Latin America and Israel:

Ituran Location & Control $ITRN The company is not a traditional, cyclical automotive supplier, but rather a highly profitable, subscription-driven SVR and fleet management powerhouse(Stolen Vehicle Recovery). Through its proprietary tracking infrastructure and AI-powered telematics platform, the company has created a digital ecosystem that has become indispensable to the day-to-day operations of insurers, automakers (OEMs), and fleet operators.

The stock reflects this fundamental transformation and the company’s operational strength: In July 2026 , following record results, the stock is trading at around $55.70. The market is finally beginning to realize that Ituran $ITRN isn’t just a run-of-the-mill GPS tracking company, but controls the hub for vehicle safety, data streams, and theft prevention across two continents.

1. The Business Model: From Hardware Sales to a High-Growth Subscription Compounder ⚙️🏢🚘

Ituran $ITRN operates an extremely sticky B2B2C software and services model that skillfully mitigates the cyclical nature of global auto sales. The business model is characterized by three structural levers:

The “Insurtech Lock-In”: In countries like Brazil 🇧🇷, Mexico 🇲🇽, or Colombia 🇨🇴, vehicle crime is so high that insurance companies often only if an active Ituran telematics system $ITRN is installed. When a customer purchases the insurance, the Ituran subscription is mandatory. The churn rate is correspondingly negligible.

The two-sided OEM flywheel: The more vehicles are equipped with Ituran hardware right from the factory (OEM direct integration with giants like Stellantis), the lower the customer acquisition costs (CAC) become. After the trial period ends, vehicle buyers can activate the paid theft protection or fleet subscription with just one click.

The cash cow of recurring revenue: Over 75% of total revenue comes not from one-time hardware sales, but from monthly recurring service subscriptions (SaaS/telematics services). With a paying subscriber base of over 2.67 million customers , Ituran $ITRN a steady, highly predictable cash flow.

2. The Technology: Why Telematics Data Is Stickier Than Any App 🧪📡

Ituran’s unique technological selling point $ITRN can be summed up in one sentence: Seamless, real-time tracking and recovery of vehicles, even in shielded environments.

Three core technological components secure this deep moat:

The hybrid frequency & GPS moat: Unlike pure GPS trackers, which can be easily blocked by professional thieves using inexpensive jammers, Ituran uses a patented hybrid system combining GPS/cellular networks and its own high-frequency (RF) infrastructure. RF signals penetrate even concrete underground parking garages and shipping containers—the recovery rate for stolen vehicles is over 90%.

The AI Fleet Analytics Platform: For B2B customers, Ituran offers $ITRN far more than just tracking: AI algorithms analyze driving behavior, fuel consumption, engine wear, and accident dynamics in real time. This enables fleet operators to reduce their operating costs by up to 20%, making the subscription indispensable.

Native OEM API integration: Ituran $ITRN is deeply integrated into the onboard electronics of state-of-the-art connected cars. Switching to a competitor would require automakers to reprogram their entire telematics architecture and interfaces during production.

3. Key Figures (as of July 2026 / Q1 FY26) 📊

Stock Exchange Listing: Listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker ITRN.

Market capitalization:
~1.10 billion USD (A highly attractive, highly profitable small/mid-cap).

🚀Revenue & Momentum: Quarterly revenue most recently rose by 19% year-over-year to a record high of 102.7 million USD (surpassing the $100 million threshold for the first time in a single quarter).

Subscriber Boom: Over 2.67 million active subscribers (+160,000 to 180,000 net new subscribers per year).

🚀Excellent profitability: The gross margin in the high-margin service segment is >65%, and the operating margin for the company as a whole is comfortably at ~22.8%.

🚀Financial Strength (Net Cash): Ituran $ITRN is completely debt-free and sits on a net cash reserve of ~108 million USD. Interest rate hikes or credit crunches are completely irrelevant to this balance sheet.

🚀Return Giant (ROIC): The return on invested capital stands at a phenomenal >28% —an absolute top performer across the entire telematics and tech sector.

🚀Shareholder-Friendly Capital Allocation: Consistently high dividend yield of ~5.3% paired with regular share buybacks.

🚀Valuation in a historical context: A P/E ratio of ~18.5x (TTM) with an EV/EBITDA of less than 9x. For a debt-free company with double-digit growth and >28% ROIC, this represents a massive, fundamental valuation discount (Wall Street’s LATAM/Israel “tactical discount”).

4. Why is this stock exciting? 🚀

1. The final breakthrough in direct OEM partnerships

Ituran $ITRN is transforming from a pure aftermarket supplier to a standard original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The partnership with Stellantis $STLAM (-0,8%) (Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot) in South America is fully reflected in the numbers: New cars roll off the assembly line equipped with active Ituran technology, which drives customer acquisition costs down to nearly zero.

2. Inflation & crime as unintended tailwinds

In times of economic strain, car theft rates rise worldwide. Insurance companies are tightening their requirements—the installation of Ituran systems is shifting from an option to an absolute requirement for car owners in core markets.

3. Balance-Sheet Buffer with P/E Ratio Revaluation

While unprofitable tech stocks are punished during market volatility, Ituran $ITRN pays a generous dividend of over 5% from its robust free cash flow and repurchases its own shares. As soon as the market eliminates the geopolitical discount, a massive P/E ratio expansion is on the horizon.

5. Competition & Moat ♟️

The landscape:

The global telematics giants (e.g., Samsara, Geotab): Strong in traditional North American and European fleet management, but lacking the specialized, local high-frequency infrastructure needed for theft prevention in emerging markets.

Local low-cost providers: Offer low-cost GPS trackers but lack the professional recovery logistics (on-site response teams) and are not accepted as official security partners by major insurance companies.

♟️Ituran’s competitive advantage at a glance:

The exclusive insurance ecosystem: Deep, decades-long contracts with top insurers create an impenetrable barrier to market entry.

Proprietary ground and air search fleet: Ituran $ITRN operates its own ground teams and tracking aircraft for vehicle location. A purely software-based competitor cannot replicate this physical bulwark.

6. Additional Insider Facts (The “Deep Dive” Bonus) 💡

The Founder Factor (Skin in the Game): The company has been led by the Sheratzky founding family for decades. They hold a significant stake in the company—management and shareholders are absolutely in the same boat.

The “Stellantis Blueprint”: The successful integration of telematics at the factory in South America is currently serving as a model for negotiations with other global automakers to tap into the European and Asian markets.

7. Risks ⚠️

❗️Geopolitical risk (headquartered in Israel): The headquarters and research center are located in Israel. Regional escalations could lead to temporary market declines in the stock price, even if operations in South America continue uninterrupted.

❗️Currency risk (BRL & ILS vs. USD): Since Ituran generates revenue primarily in Brazilian real and Israeli shekels but reports in USD, significant currency fluctuations can distort reported financial growth.

❗️Technological disruption by automotive manufacturers: If global OEMs develop their own closed anti-theft systems and exclude third parties, the long-term potential as an original equipment manufacturer could come under pressure.

Conclusion & Reaper Rating 🧐

Ituran Location & Control $ITRN delivers an absolutely flawless operational performance in 2026. As a debt-free, highly profitable telematics and SVR monopolist, Ituran serves an essential security niche with exceptional capital efficiency. A P/E ratio of ~18.5x, a dividend yield of approximately 5%, and a well-stocked cash reserve make the stock one of the most attractive quality-value plays on the market.

For my own portfolio, the stock doesn’t quite fit my usual criteria right now, as I’m currently focusing on other areas. But for all dividend hunters, Ituran $ITRN definitely be worth a look. 👀

💀Jack’s Verdict:

Ituran has achieved exactly what sets outstanding niche companies apart: they’ve made themselves irreplaceable. Anyone in São Paulo looking to insure a car simply can’t avoid Ituran. A 28% ROIC, debt-free, a P/E ratio under 19, and a dividend yield over 5%, all while the subscription engine keeps spinning faster and faster? This isn’t some outdated auto parts supplier—it’s a subscription monopoly disguised as a security firm. Those who invest here patiently, collect the dividend, and simply let this Latin American compounder do its thing will reap the rewards.”

REAPER RATING: 🟢 BUY / QUALITY COMPOUNDER

DUST-COLLECTOR LIMIT: ~$48.00 (Attractive margin of safety during a market dip)

REAPER SCORE: 8.5 / 10

Hey Brian! 🚀

You’ve really brought an extremely exciting and highly profitable niche player to the table! Ituran Location & Control is exactly the kind of hidden “cash cow” that quietly generates massive amounts of cash in the shadow of the big tech giants.

I ran your theories, numbers, and arguments through our analysis engine, cross-referenced them with the comprehensive investment report, and dissected the weekly charts.

Here’s the unfiltered feedback—what you analyzed perfectly, where your numbers need a slight update, and what the technical analysis is currently showing.

---

### 🟢 The Praise: Where You’ve Hit the Nail on the Head

Your eye for the company’s fundamental strengths is excellent. The following points you made are 100% backed up by the hard data:

* **The Revenue Record:** You’re absolutely right—quarterly revenue broke through the 100-million mark for the first time, reaching $102.7 million. That represents strong year-over-year growth of 19%.

* **The Subscriber Engine:** The figure of 2.67 million active subscribers is correct. The company also confirms the forecast of 160,000 to 180,000 net new subscribers for the full year 2026 exactly as stated.

* **The Financial Fortress:** Your assessment of the balance sheet is spot on. Ituran sits on $108 million in net cash and has absolutely zero bank debt. This makes it completely immune to interest rate fluctuations.

* **The Yield Giant:** You’re actually being slightly too conservative with your ROIC estimate of “>28%.” The return on equity (ROE) stands at an outstanding 30.2, and the return on investment (ROI) at 30.0. That’s exceptional capital efficiency.

* **The Valuation:** The P/E ratio currently stands at 18.4. For a debt-free market leader with this level of growth, that’s actually not an expensive price tag at first glance.

---

### ⚠️ The Reality Check: Where You Need to Take Off the Rose-Colored Glasses

However, with a few figures and estimates, you’re being a bit too optimistic or have overlooked some small details. Here’s the cold, hard reality:

* **The dividend yield:** You’re talking about a whopping ~5.3%. Unfortunately, that’s outdated. The current dividend yield is **3.59%**. While the company has a reliable track record of paying dividends (for 21 consecutive years), with a quarterly dividend of $0.50 per share, you no longer reach 5% at the current stock price.

* **The revenue mix:** Recurring service revenue accounts for a massive **73%** of total revenue—not quite the 75% you mentioned. That’s a minor difference, but it shows that the product business still carries significant weight.

* **The margin warning:** You praise the company’s profitability but omit an important detail from the last quarter: The gross margin in the product segment has fallen significantly year-over-year, from 23.6% to 18.7%. So there is definitely some slight margin pressure on the hardware side here, which needs to be kept in mind.

* **The P/E Ratio Expansion Potential:** You’re expecting a massive upward revaluation. The algorithms of 21 analysts are significantly more cautious here: the calculated fair value is **$53.10**. At a price of approximately **$55.70**, the system currently even signals a slight downside risk of around 4.78%. After a price increase of nearly 53% last year, the company is currently fairly valued to slightly overvalued according to the models.

### 📉 Chart Analysis (Weekly Basis)

Your profit-taking limit at **~$48.00** is, from a technical standpoint, **an absolutely brilliant choice**! Let’s take a look at the 24-month weekly chart:

1. **The Trend:**
The stock has experienced a massive rally and is currently trading in a consolidation phase around $56.16.

2. **The MACD Warning Signal:**
A sell signal has formed on a weekly basis. The MACD line (3.11) has crossed below the signal line (4.27), and the histogram is showing an increasing number of red, negative bars (-1.17). Momentum is currently turning decisively downward. The technical indicators are at “Strong Sell.”

3. **The RSI Cool-Down:**
The RSI(14) stands at a comfortable 52.84. The stock is thus currently unwinding the massively overbought situation of the past few months, but still has room to fall.

4. **Your $48 Limit:**
This is where your keen eye shines! The EMA(50) (the 50-week line) runs exactly at **$49.59**. Your limit at **$48.00** catches the price just below this extremely important moving average line—exactly where old horizontal support zones are located as well.

### 🎯 RaketenToni’s Conclusion

You’ve presented a true quality compounder! Ituran combines a debt-free fortress with a massive moat in the SVR market.

I agree almost entirely with your conclusion, with one small caveat: You’re no longer buying an undervalued bargain here, as the price has already surged significantly on the back of last year’s strong fundamental figures.

Your plan—not to rush in and catch a falling knife, but to calmly wait for a technical dip with a limit order at $48.00 on the 50-week moving average—is the perfect strategy for this stock. Great post!

@Raketentoni Is this stock something for your A-side, Toni? 🤔
1
immagine del profilo
@Aktienhauptmeister
The A-Side (our Income-Core / rock-solid dividend side) simply wouldn’t be a good fit for Ituran!

Why?

Because, despite its top-notch operations, Ituran fails to meet two key criteria for our A-Side:

The dividend hurdle: With a current dividend yield of 3.59%, it does just barely scrape by our 3.5% minimum threshold, but the payout has historically fluctuated from time to time and is by no means as rock-solid and predictable as a Swiss watch—unlike with a company like PepsiCo, Cibus, or Realty Income.

The geographic/political risk caveat:

Our A-side is the calm, unflappable stronghold in the portfolio—the place where we want to sleep like a baby at night. A company headquartered in Israel and doing most of its business in Latin America inherently carries a dose of geopolitical volatility in its backpack. This is a classic “LATAM/Israel discount” that the market prices in for good reason.

So where does Ituran belong?

If you’re going to add Ituran to your portfolio at all, it should be as a quality “satellite” on the B-side (growth & speculation)—as a highly profitable, debt-free specialty compounder.

@Raketentoni And I thought I'd caught you with that number 😂 Close, but no cigar, haha

Great find and an interesting business model. I had no idea something like this existed. But it doesn’t seem all that easy to scale, especially with their own surveillance aircraft in Europe? I also don’t see any reason why the geographic surcharge for Israel/LATAM should be lifted anytime soon. Otherwise, great find and well presented. But it’s not for me.
4
immagine del profilo
@Keineui In the EU, theft rates, infrastructure conditions, and the legal framework are completely different from those in South America. I agree with you there! The penalty for Israel and Latin America isn’t going to disappear anytime soon. For me personally, though, the fact that the stock market suddenly values the company higher isn’t even the main issue. As long as the core subscription business is growing steadily and the company is distributing plenty of cash to shareholders, why not? 🤷🏼‍♂️👀

@Aktienhauptmeister The dividend growth starting in 2024 certainly looks strong. If it keeps up like this for 5 years or more, that would be great!

I hadn't heard of this at all until just now. It has an attractive business model and is still protected from competitors for a while. I'm adding it to my watchlist—let's see if the dividend yield goes up a bit more 🤭😇

@Dividendenopi I immediately thought of you when I came across this stock 👀 Since you don't want to add any more financial stocks to your portfolio, this might be an interesting option for you 😬

@Aktienhauptmeister Fundamentally, definitely—the dividend yield is actually too low for me. If, contrary to expectations, they were to rebound significantly again, I'd be in.
