Why BATS in particular, who have to go?

I see a (in my opinion important) debt reduction. Share buybacks are planned for the next few years. The stake in ITC is becoming increasingly valuable due to the growing number of smokers in India.

For me, this is actually a buy-and-hold position for the next 10 years, which I would increase again in the ~€30 price range.

@KevinE would also "sacrifice" them in the short term as I don't think the vola there will be bad in the near future...
@Charmin: good.... Pay taxes. In advance.
A tax official once gave me a tip because I also had to pay taxes in advance - only for book profits: "oh, you can borrow against them like everyone else...." 😀

@KevinE Because I'm taking NVDIA to my grave (well, at least holding it for a long time), other stocks were down and BAT was up despite the dividend payout.

@userc818a6f2df6247c9 As an entrepreneur, you have to make advance payments on a quarterly basis ... I'd prefer it any other way ... 😂

@Charmin Are the positions that are currently in the red better positioned for the future?

I would probably also hold Nvidia, but I didn't dare to do so when they were still relatively cheap. I bought Broadcom back then. Not a bad choice, but in that case the significantly worse one 😬

@KevinE Nobody knows that with my investment horizon. BAT was up 2.something percent, plus the dividend - that was an easy decision for me.

I'll certainly pick it up again. But the plan here was to pay taxes with a stock that is green.
