Dropping your pants for the first time

I've been around here for a while, but have never posted anything - so: pants down! 😄

I currently invest:

  • 800 € in the $ISAC (+0,23%) - which should form my "secure foundation" in the medium term and grow to approx. 60% of my portfolio.
  • 200 € in $BTC (+0,29%) - as an admixture and long-term risk investment.

I have also made a few individual purchases and "gimmicks" to gain experience, but the focus is currently on expanding the portfolio. $ISAC (+0,23%) .

In addition, smaller amounts (€25-50) are invested in shares where I see potential - or simply have hope 😉:

I am also betting on some sectoral ETFs in areas that I find exciting. At the moment, things are looking a bit bleak, but in the next 10 to 20 years I can imagine that these areas will do well in terms of sustainability:

I am a complete career changer - I had zero contact with shares or ETFs before and am now building up my knowledge bit by bit.

My professional background is in research (PhD in chemistry 🧪), so I'm no stranger to analysis, critical thinking and numbers - just not in the financial sector so far.

What interests me in particular:

➡️ How did you build up your knowledge of investing?

➡️ Do you have any book recommendations, sources, YouTubers, blogs or podcasts that have helped you?

➡️ What do you think people should pay particular attention to when they are new to investing?

I'm looking forward to tips, exchanges & maybe even an aha moment or two!

Hi @Il_Cavaliere , I haven't got of you are sn Italian speaker. If that Is the case, Iwould suggest the podcast "The Bull", very insightful. In the list of books in English, I would suggest "Just keep buying" by Nick Maggiulli to start with. I like your portfolio very much, by the way, although thematic ETFs always bears the risk of trends

Thanks for your comment and suggestions. I'm not a native Italian speaker, but my partner is, so I learned it for her and her family. I’ll definitely give the podcast a try… e poi vediamo se il mio italiano è abbastanza buono o no!😉
