What do you guys actually do when you're not making or losing money?

As the stock market slowly winds down for the weekend, people here are still working on—or rather, trying to improve—their personal returns.

Has anyone here actually ever invested in $PTON (-1,48%) invested here, or am I the only one voluntarily throwing money at this company?

@MozartsGeist Are you retreating into a cave because of the pain?

I drove past my construction sites today (things are going reasonably well) and tomorrow I’m heading out to the countryside to sit on the patio with a glass of wine (the weather’s supposed to be nice again). I’m also planning to feed 2–3 packages of ham to my neighbor’s cats.

So much for self-improvement. 😅

@OberstvonGatow Thank you. 😉
••
@NichtRelevant Do you want to poach the cats?

@Solitair No. I'm actually glad they belong to the neighbor. But I like having the cats visit—at first they were really shy and didn't dare come over. The ham helped. 😄

@stocker_1862 I'm just going to paint over it with fresh paint—the construction industry is always a safe bet 😂

I have a nest of ground wasps in my front yard. I place a pillow on the windowsill, lean back comfortably against it, and count how many wasps fly out of the small hole in the ground—or how many fly in—over the course of an hour or two or so. I keep track of this and compare the data over the course of the week. I also document various parameters such as outside temperature, humidity, time of day, wind speed, and more—it’s fascinating to see how these factors influence the wasps’ flight activity. Since electronics and technology also fascinate me, I’m currently working on a small light barrier with a counter that can do this for me around the clock—at least counting the entries and exits. For the parameters, I’m currently writing an AI agent with the goal of automating everything. Then I’ll soon be able to watch the wasps, drink coffee, and view all the data on the dashboard in real time. I’ve got to hurry before it freezes and the wasps naturally pass away…at least most of them.

In any case, try not to run into a wall 🤭
