Using a valuation model or score is one approach. That might make investing easier. But it’s not quite that simple. Emotions are hard to gauge. A great deal of stock performance is also driven by the news. And with a U.S. president who loves to make headlines, things haven’t gotten any easier.

@Tenbagger2024 You’re absolutely right—a model like that can’t account for emotions or individual news stories. But for me, that’s exactly the point. I deliberately remove the emotional and news-driven components because, as a private investor, they’ve cost me more money than they’ve made me over the years. Anyone who reacts to every Trump headline will end up trading themselves into poverty.
