Tesla technology

Is the technology from $TSLA (+2,03%) , which is now also to be used in robotaxis and is based purely on cameras, is not competitive and very error-prone? If this is confirmed, this technology is doomed to failure, because how many accidents will there be if the faulty technology can no longer be corrected by a human?

The chip shop is doomed. How can you justify that Tesla alone is worth more than all the other carmakers in the world put together - pure madness.

@_aaaa_ probably because one of the most influential people is ceo and many people expect a lot of innovation - i guess. I don't believe it either, apart from the fact that I think musk will be down with the next president at the latest

For autonomous driving, I find the Wayve supported by $9984, $NVDA, $UBER and $7201 interesting!!! Otherwise, most car makers have their own systems too, so Tesla dominance as predicted by psychos like Cathy Wood is complete nonsense. They probably won't get approval in most markets either.

As an engineer in this field, I can only tell you that lidar is the better technology, but that Tesla's approach can be better analyzed by AI, which is why safety is at least as high as with lidar.

Nothing needs to be confirmed first. I love my Tesla, but the driving assistance is a fair-weather assistance. With the facelift, they fixed the "no front camera" problem, which at least means that children and concrete pillars are no longer rammed into, but precision is different.

The cars are great, but someone would have to have the balls to say "That was a nice try, but it just sucked."

@devnerd_daddy but you are aware that we are in germany and therefore you cannot use fsd, right? You only have autopilot that is outdated software and has nothing to do with fsd

@CRB_Consulting Which is why, as I hope you are aware, I wrote driving assistance and not FSD 😉 And no, the autopilot is not outdated software, but is updated from time to time.
