Ferrari is a status symbol. You buy a Ferrari because you can afford it - you don't look at the price.

I think the "problem" described above is a bit far-fetched

@Alpalaka nope
That's exactly what happened to Porsche

If software is worse and the build quality is only slightly better, so the only good reason is the brand, the Chinese are more likely to buy their own shit. This has been shown by Porsche, Lambo, Bentley and other direct Ferrari competitors.

@leveragegrinding but Ferrari is not dependent on the Chinese. They can go ahead and buy their own "shit". In Q3 24, deliveries fell by 2% - in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong they fell by 30%. I can't see any dependence on China here (okay, China and Co is also the smallest market)

Ferrari is a status of the rich and beautiful in Monaco and elsewhere.
Porsche, for example, has long since lost nothing there because, to put it bluntly, they are a dime a dozen and driving one is no longer anything special

@Alpalaka fair point, I don't know the dependents by continent.

Nevertheless, the price is far from good and evil
