Why do I keep procrastinating?

I could have bought it today for €245, then for €252 or later for €256 $UNH (+4,71%) but no, I had to hesitate and think about it (because of €200). Yesterday I could have had €230! And now I don't want to go into the weekend without buying. Sometimes I really lack courage.... do you know situations like this?

I take a differentiated view: Being patient is a virtue. You've done nothing wrong. :) And if you can't find a suitable entry, keep your hands off it. There are opportunities on the market every week.

@MoneyMartin This also happened to me with $PLTR and I still have a funny feeling in my stomach about it. Sometimes I think I've really missed out on some opportunities because I hesitated too much even though I was actually convinced. But thank you for your Meinung👍🏻. I think you're right about that. There will always be opportunities 😀

Mei , nobody could have predicted that it would rise now. It could just as easily have fallen to below 200.
I've also considered selling all my individual shares and then getting in. But that wouldn't have been investing, it would have been gambling and that's not what we do at Getquin ☝🏼

@Tobi60 yes, but afterwards I think to myself, man, now I could have had it 10-20€ cheaper.
Ufff but I think that would be too risky. Everything out and then in.... I would never have the nerve for that 🫣

If you are unsure, don't buy. It's your money, your responsibility!

No, no. I bought more several times and "always too early". We were both too early😀
From the end of April 1x 369€,
0,57x 350€,
1,44x 346€,
3x 289,70€
and then now 0.76x for €262.74 🙈🙈
BuyIn is 335€ so 22% minus 🤷🏻‍♂️

It doesn't happen by chance, it was meant to be. You can build on this and rethink your next decisions.

@Entn That's right, you can see it that way too. It was the same with $PLTR last year. Constantly hesitated. Although I was convinced. I really need to work on myself.

So I only hesitate when something is up 😂

@Simpson 😂Now I would have to insert the one GIF where you appear and disappear in the Flanders hedge.

The main thing is still to strike 💪

Yes, that's what I'm consoling myself with at the moment. I can't wait to see how things continue from Monday.

Yep, I also missed buying as cheaply as possible to lower my buy-in. But no matter: if things go up from now on, I won't complain.

@C_Montgomery_Burns I'm just really annoyed. Actually, I don't like that about myself at all. At some point you only have a limited amount of cash and of course you want to invest it in the best possible way. But I think I'm just still very fear-driven. At least I suspect so. But you're right, when things start to look up, we'll be happy 🍻

Nothing wrong with waiting patiently. I think you have a great entry. I may have had the "courage" to get in quick at around 280€, but then it went down even further and look at you now. You have a better entry than I have. 👍🏻

Good post, I feel the same way... But didn't want to reduce my cash any further.

Have you ever taken out loans/credits to buy shares?

@equity_expert_mqaqh phew, never me. Of course you have thoughts like that, but as a family man, I don't take the risk that comes with it.

I was quick and got a purchase price of 272, 1x at around 290 and 1x at around 255, so you're still better off than me😁

You can certainly buy it even cheaper in the next few weeks ... the negative story is not over yet

@djimbolino 😱 Oh dear, this really is a nerve-wracking undertaking at the moment😃

Zoom out on the annual chart and you will see that you have nevertheless made a very good start.

For some people, ETFs are simply the better solution...for me, for example, ✌️😁🙋

Maybe for you too!

I wouldn't worry about 200 euros and a share of 0.761.

You're trying something that you simply have to accept won't work: You can't time the market. Nobody can.

You're supposed to buy value because you're convinced of things you've researched.

When I started, yes. Now with a few years of experience in the market: No. Put your strategy to the test, if you want to get rich as quickly as possible, then you can rather deal with CFDs (if you understand the risks!) With shares it is not for nothing that the duck craps in the end and if you are already invested in United Health for 1 year, then you tend not to be interested in getting started at all.
