Long-term assets

Despite my focus on dividends, I came to the decision a few months ago through videos including Blocktrainer etc. a few months ago, I came to the decision $BTC (-1,74%) to hold assets for the long term.

I consider it important to invest a certain percentage of my assets in Bitcoin in addition to shares, real estate, gold, etc.

I'm not looking for short-term gains, as I made in 2021/23, but to have something in my assets if it should ever be worth millions.

Back then, I bought at €30,000 and sold at €60,000 because I hadn't yet understood the depth of Bitcoin.

What I also found very exciting was the practical use of Bitcoin, which has already become part of everyday life in other countries. I found this video from Africa particularly interesting:

Be prepared for the fact that - if the cycle is also confirmed this year - we will probably see a new all-time high from September (possibly not until the end of the year). After that, we will return to the bear market for a while.

I will try to sell my Bitcoin, which I bought tax-free from Trade Republic until September, as close to the top as possible and buy again in the bear market so that I end up with more Bitcoin in my wallet. 😬

@Ash I'll just keep on hodling 👍

@Ash How long do we want to hold on to the 4-year cycle theory if it has long been invalidated?

@Ash That could be the case, but I don't care in the short term.

I buy from time to time on setbacks and have a savings plan. I see the whole thing over decades

@Ph1l1pp I wouldn't say invalidated. Every cycle has been slightly different so far. If we now see another small blow-off top in the next few months followed by a bear market, then I would say the 4-year cycle is still intact.
Even if I no longer believe in 70-80% corrections and even if I don't think the cycle will continue like this.

Bitcoin is a journey! As a long-time observer, I have learned some hard lessons in the meantime. The problem is that very few people know what hard and good money is.

For me, Bitcoin is clearly hard, decentralized, digital money and a "store of value" - a protection against an encroaching state, central banks and the devaluation of money through inflation. For me, it represents an alternative to the credit-based monetary system and offers the opportunity to get out of this system.

Very intelligent decision dividend collector. Btc is the one anchor by which everything will be measured

Hey, which broker do you invest your bitcoins in? I currently have a small amount on TR, would it be better to switch to Bitpanda, for example? Or is TR also sufficient for this? Regards

@MrSchnitzel00 TR buys real BTC, but you cannot transfer them to your wallet. "Not Your Keys, Not Your Coins"

@Da_Fischi but if bitcoin rises, I benefit just as much, don't I? So should I better shift it to bitpanda? Thanks for the help :)
immagine del profilo
@MrSchnitzel00 Yes, but firstly you pay a very high spread with TR and secondly your coins are not safe there should anything happen. Choose a broker where you can transfer to your wallet and which suits you best: https://www.finanzfluss.de/vergleich/krypto-boersen/

@MrSchnitzel00 I am satisfied with Relai
@greenMoney I have problems with Relai, as German banks no longer like to transfer money to Swiss accounts.
Also difficult via credit card
